What Hamlet Said When He Saw Me Sulking
Why Stay to Write?
why stay to write? ideas abound I know because my pencil’s changed from l o n g to gone — I write to learn from my mistakes
& learn to write about redemption —
why stay outside? why live for rivers that flow through fact? I am always just… behind the curtain
where lies the well of words amalgamating into one big mistake
2B is fine but read the situation we’re not all Polonius some of us want to be
writing
& others lie in the wrong bed
why stay to read? aren’t we all victims hooked on smiles one poisoned chalice from the deaths we live again & again & never discuss
silly words
repeating tales in the same clay caves lives etched into walls
we tell stories through lines & shapes we stay to write & write to stay
