What Every Religion Hides at Its Core: A Dive into Jung’s Profound Truth
It was a statement I couldn’t shake. Jung, in The Red Book, remarked:
“It’s erroneous to believe that religions differ in their innermost essence. Strictly speaking, it’s always one and the same religion.”

When Foundations Speak Louder Than Facades
It’s said that a house can have many windows, but its foundation remains unchanged.
I recall my own awakening on October 16th, 2019. On that day, while lounging at my home in Egersund, a jolt of realization swept over me. The threads connecting the various spiritual and religious teachings suddenly tightened. The essence was the same, only masked in different guises.
Every morning as I take my tranquil walk, I ponder. I see trees of different kinds, each bearing fruit, yet all rooted in the same earth.
Just as these trees are nourished by the same soil, every religion drinks from the same wellspring of spiritual truth.
The Melting Pot of Ancient Teachings
Remember the tales of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha?
Born into royalty, he left his princely life in pursuit of enlightenment. His path was not bound to a single religious edict but a universal truth. There was also Jesus of Nazareth, who spoke of love, unity, and sacrifice. Wasn’t his teaching of “Love thy neighbor as thyself” echoing the very sentiment of non-dualism?
Let’s not forget the Gita, one of my cherished texts. The essence of its teaching is to realize the unity of existence.
An echo, a reflection, of the same voice Jung identified.
Unveiling The Essence: A Journey Within
One might argue, “But their rituals are different! Their gods have different names!”
True. But consider this: At the heart of each religion lies a map, guiding the seeker within, to a place beyond the veil of names and forms. Take meditation, for instance, a practice I dive into thrice daily. Whether through the Zen of Buddhists or the dhikr of Sufis, the intent remains: To quiet the mind and unveil the divine within.
Just like these practices, when you strip away the names, symbols, and rituals, religions whisper the same truth:
Dive within, recognize your true self, and you’ll find the universe there.

The Well of Singular Truth
Every Path Leads to One Horizon
If you find yourself at the crossroads of doubt, seeking the “right” spiritual path, remember this:
While roads are many, the destination remains singular. It’s not about picking the most scenic route, but understanding the essence, the heartbeat, that fuels every journey.
My mission, since that profound day in 2019, has been to serve as a guide for fellow seekers. Not to a specific religious path, but towards an understanding. An understanding that beneath the diverse facades of religions, lies a singular truth. A truth as profound as the depth of the ocean, as vast as the expanse of the sky.
The next time you find yourself in a quiet corner of reflection, perhaps after a meditation or during a solitary walk, ask yourself:
Isn’t it time to seek the essence rather than the exterior? The core awaits.
Dive deep.
