What Colors Bring Into My Life

In response to the question by Dr. Preeti Singh’s question: What are your colors of joy?
My colors of joy nowadays are the paintings I been creating. I have been experimenting with different colors and techniques and having a lot of fun. Mixing different colors together and figuring out what color might go with what is been a very interesting process.
I have been working on flow/pouring art and rope technique in this past week. The painting below is regular paint pulled with a rope in four different directions. I love the vibrant colors. This painting is in a small piece of left over pine wood.

The painting below was created with a rope technique by dipping the rope in paint and pulling it down on the canvas multiple times. Added the flowers after with a wooden knives.

Next I tried a different pouring technique in a diagonal line. I love the colors and the affect they had created. To me it looks like multiple flowers opening and blooming at a same time. Someone told me to them it looks like planets or nebulas. I am just happy with the colors. They are vibrant and happy. This painting lives in my living room now.

Another creation is rainbow art with a blooming flower in the middle with gold and red paint. Unfortunately my cat decided to jump into this one and I had to create something else with this canvas. Just the photo and its creation on video remains.

This is the painting I created after my lovely cat jumped into the previous painting. I used the previous paint to create a base which turned out to be a darker pink color. This painting was created with paint mixed with hydrogen peroxide. It created a nice cellular effect. What do you see in this painting?

I also wanted to experiment how a painting looks if I just use a few colors. I love the effect the paint created on this piece of pine wood. I love the color combinations of the yellow, blue, green and gold. I love the movement this piece creates.

A final piece I worked with yesterday actually was an assignment from a conference I been taking the last two days about whole health and caring. We had to choose and activity to do self care for 30 minutes and I choose painting. I had a larger piece of wood that is recycled from old shelves from a store that closed. I knew I want a blue base it is my favorite color. I used the same hydrogen peroxide diluting technique. This is the end result. I named it Blue Heaven. I love the cells in it and now as it is drying it starts to look a little different.

As the painting is drying it is creating a three dimensional effect> I think it has to do with the Hydrogen peroxide, being on wood and the thickness of the paint. As you can see the middle is still wet it is been drying now almost 24 hours. I like this look.it reminds me of the ocean and the sky.

A final piece of rope art is on a piece of left over plywood. I painted the base white and did the pull down rope technique with non diluted paint. I see a face in the middle. I also see an outline of a heart. I like the colors and what effect they have in this painting.

Lastly, I experimented with pouring paint over glass to see what the mixed color would look like. It did not exactly turned out the way I expected. I was trying to get a spiral effect. Instead I had a downward flowing effect. First I was not sure abut how I like it. Once it dried it turned out pretty cool with the multiple mixed colors.
