What Can Help Us to Come Together — Right Now

If you want to be free

In my last two articles, I shared the desire to bring more unity and peace into the world. And it begins with love — starting with self love.

I look to continue this journey on the path to peace, as I feel it is so extremely important right now…

…there is just so much fear.

In my first article, I shared:

If you want to give love to this world, you must first have love. In order to have love, you must first experience love — within yourself.

As Karen Noe shares in her book We Consciousness, “ Maintaining inner tranquility is the first and most significant step to creating peace on Earth. When you find the peace within yourself, you become the kind of person who can live at peace with others”.

Be the change you wish to see, as it is said. And it starts with you — and me. In those moments of fear, move into the vibration of love… How?

One way is to start with gratitude.

I was feeling overwhelmed this morning, so much to do, so little time. As I am back to almost 40 hours a week at my day job as of this past week, I am in need of some serious adjusting.

As I was doing my morning chores and feeling sad, I started to list all the things I am grateful for.

This begins with my day job, as so many are unemployed right now.

And my health, with many sick with the virus that appears to be on the rise. Not to mention so many that suffer with diseases and conditions daily.

The weather. Today is a beautiful sunny summer day, and I am home to enjoy. Last Monday we had quite a storm that affected so many…power out, trees down, some falling on homes or cars.

As I started thinking about all I was grateful for, I started to feel more peace. I still had much to do, that didn’t change, but how I did those chores did.

I moved out of the vibration of fear and into the vibration of love.

Once I finished my chores, I decided to treat myself with a walk. That brings me such joy — connecting with nature on this beautiful August day. As I did as a child when I was outside in play.

When I returned, I had lunch and then meditated. That brings such centering and balance.

I was practicing self love. Something I shared in my second article. The steps I took above — gratitude, play, nutrition and meditation are all examples of self love.

I’m using tools that have helped me before — and are helping me now.

This journey that we are all on in life is not about being perfect. There is no perfection. It’s about being mindful and aware and catching yourself when you slip. And embracing yourself when you do, so you can move forward.

The path of personal growth and development is lined with understanding yourself and being kind. We all have those moments but let them be moments and not hours, days, weeks — or how you live your life.

When we come from a place of love, we create peace in our lives and also for the lives around us.

As I mentioned, I shared in my first article the need to bring more love in and how it starts with ourselves:

Then how to experience self love along with steps to take:

And now I would like to continue by sharing the advantages of self love.

What do you really gain when you love yourself?

Is it worth the effort?

And how does it bring in more peace?

I reference what Karen Noe shares in her book, We Consciousness, as it resonates with me. What she has written, I have been living and I see for myself the benefits.

Being mindful and aware of how you are living your life makes everything more interesting. When you are your best self, you get to see how that feels — and when you aren’t, you get to see how that feels. And you can compare.

Here are some of Karen’s list of advantages of self love:

  • You will make your own happiness a priority and not be swayed by external conditions. (gratitude)
  • You will look out for your best interests. (if you don’t, who will?)
  • Your confidence will increase. (you will require others to treat you with respect)
  • You will make it a priority to achieve your dreams. (unyielding determination and strong believe in yourself)
  • You will attract loving situations and people in your life. (like attracts like)
  • You will make healthier choices for yourself. (whatever is necessary to get to and keep your body functioning at an optimal level)
  • Other people won’t have the power to offend you. (what someone thinks of you is none of your business, it’s their perspective)
  • You will be happy for others instead of resenting them. (knowing you are also able to accomplish amazing things)
  • You will create your own positive situations and understand that you are not a victim. (life is happening for and not to you)
  • You will be of greater service to others. (you’ll have so much more to give as your tank if full and not empty)

When you realize you are worthy, life opens up the opportunities for you to receive…

As women, so many of us struggle with receiving. We are givers. We also struggle with self worth. We learned through example to put others first, therefore making ourselves last.

It’s time for us to embrace ourselves and move forward. Move into Me First. It’s not selfish, it’s not a luxury. It’s a necessity — and it’s time.

We are being called to step into who we are now meant to be…

… How will you answer?

No longer can we sit and wonder. We need to stand and take action. Move forward to a bigger life — stop playing small.

We need leadership for a better world. Conscious leadership.

I don’t feel women are better than men — I feel we should be a team. Both genders have their strengths and weaknesses. I desire unity, not division.

In these times of panic, it’s time to find peace and tap into our inner power.

Want more peace in your life? Need more peace in your life?

Save the Date 9/20/20 — I will be sharing specifics soon.
