Waiting For Things to Be Perfect Doesn't Increase Your Odds of Success
What are you waiting for?

Courage is a love affair with the unknown
— Osho
Are you waiting for things to be perfect before you go after what you want? How long do you plan to wait? A month? A year? 5 years?
Waiting until the timing is perfect is a scam. You are scamming yourself out of what you need and draining your life-force every day you wait. Did your bubble just burst?
When you justify your “reasons” for inaction, you perpetuate the cycle of waiting. Humans crave homeostasis, which means we like sh%# to stay the same. I get it. But there are bigger things at stake in this equation. Let’s take a look.
What you are really waiting for is to stop investing in reasons why you should wait. If you’re lucky, you will have many tomorrows; if not, you have today.
Reasons you wait: Lack of or fear of…
- Time & energy
- Money
- Inspiration
- Love
- Forgiveness
- Fear of failure
The biggest lie we tell ourselves: “If I cant do it perfectly, I won’t do it at all because I will fail.” And my friend — it is a lie.
Don’t charge others with the task of giving you, what you need to give yourself.
Who are you waiting for to give you these things? Your partner, your creator, the world? It’s your job to give yourself these things. When you do, you will know empowerment.
Why are you still waiting?
Why and how long have you been waiting for conditions to improve? Consider taking an inventory of what you have been waiting for, how long, and ask yourself if those reasons are still valid.
Whether it’s a creative passion or getting fit, it doesn't matter. What matters is you understand what holds you back — and why you let it.
A word on fear
I avoided publishing for many years, as I was deathly afraid of internet trolls. Now I’m writing and publishing, and I haven’t met a troll yet. Are they out there? Yes. Does it matter? No. Because I am immeasurably happy as a writer.
What if you give the things you are waiting for?
Hey, it’s a strategy, and what do you have to lose? Why not give what you want to receive? It ties into universal law — give, and you shall receive, plus it mobilizes the essence of what you want for yourself.
Final thoughts
Stop investing in reasons for waiting to create a life you love. Those reasons do not serve your highest self. Shimmy up to the very edge and peer out at the golden vista before you — that is your place in the universe. What are you waiting for? Dive in.
