What are the simplest ways to do, to Cure Acne?

If you are one to suffer from acne, you could also be suffering from low self-esteem issues as having acne can trigger severe effects on body image because of the way people perceived physical appearance nowadays with their high standards. With that said, many people with acne may feel ashamed of themselves causing them to develop self-confidence issues.
Because of the impact acne brings to the mental aspects of a person, any types of acne whether mild, moderate, or severe can still affect a person’s self-esteem. They may try to conform to the standards of appearance to what they think is acceptable to many by finding ways to cope up with acne through the use of many cosmetic products that they think could hide their image well enough but is unaware that it would only causes them to worsen their acne because of the sensitivity of their acne-prone skin.
You may find that certain products such as foundations and concealers can cause new acne breakouts so make sure you limit the use of it especially when you are treating your acne to be cured. Don’t get me wrong, it is okay to wear makeup for an acne patient as long as you select cosmetics that works best for your skin type to not develop skin problems and worsens your acne in the long run. Just a piece of advice to those who wear makeup to choose products that are labeled “noncomedogenic” or “non-acnegenic” as this products won't clog your pores and worsens your acne, same goes when you are washing your face, to not clog your pores and worsens acne, be sure to wash away all the unnecessary dirt that builds up in your face whenever you remove your makeup.
Here are the simplest ways you can do to get rid and treat acne from worsening
- Change your diet

Avoid foods that cause major breakouts such as Dairy products and foods high in processed sugar as these can trigger acne as it raises our blood sugar more quickly that when it happens it causes our body to release a hormone called insulin, and having an excess of these in our blood can have our oil glands to produce more oil which increases the chance of being at risks with acne. By following a diet that consists of healthy foods can help prevent and treat acne from worsening. You should consume foods that are rich in nutrients such as Zinc, complex carbohydrates, Omega 3 fatty acids, antioxidants and vitamins A and E. By Cutting out foods that can be bad for your skin can be hard for so many, but it is worth it in the end when you see the end results that your skin had achieved.
Disclaimer: You should also be aware of the food allergies or intolerance that you have whenever you consume foods in your planned diet.
- Moisturize

There are moisturizers made for oily, dry, or combination skin depending on your skin type. In this case, with an acne-prone skin, you should use the right moisturizers by picking a lightweight moisturizer that is serum or hydrating gel that is water-based rather than oil-based which are commonly used when people are experiencing breakouts. Avoid cream moisturizers as they can only worsen the congestion of pores and increased oil production that can lead to breakouts.
You can always choose moisturizers that hydrates your skin especially if you are acne-prone because an acne is an inflammation that you may feel irritated with when your skin is dry. There are also many acne products that contains ingredients that dry the skin, so it is recommended to use a moisturizer that minimizes the dryness and skin peeling you encountered. As I’ve previously mentioned, products that are labeled as “non-comedogenic” could be beneficial for an acne patient, so always make sure to look for that whenever you buy something in the store.
- Don’t be put on too much stress

Higher stress levels can trigger acne breakouts and make existing acne to worsen as it affects acne-inducing hormones to spike. Stress thus causes imbalances in hormones which leads to acne. So when these hormones released during periods of stress, it can increase sebum production and skin inflammation that could make acne worse, so make sure to have your stress levels low and under control to not worsen and cause more breakouts to happen.
- Wear sunscreen

Do not forget to wear sunscreen on a daily basis and try to not be out in the sun for too long, because the ultraviolet rays in the sun can increase inflammation and redness making you irritated and more likely to scratch your skin. Always apply sunscreen with SPF 30 or more at least 20 minutes before sun exposure and again look for the labeled “noncomedogenic” on your sunscreen products each time you make a purchase. Do not also forget to read the ingredients on the product label because there are acne medications that have strong ingredients that makes your skin to increase its sensitivity to sunlight.
- Try an over-the-counter acne product

If you can’t afford to go to the dermatologist yet or have no time to do so, you can always either try to use acne products that don’t need a prescription which is still safe to use. These products must have an ingredients called, benzoyl, peroxide, salicylic acid, glycolic acid or lactic acid as these can suppress bacteria. You can apply a slight amount in certain areas first, then adjust and increase how much and often you should use it, which depends on how much peeling or drying you have. As I have already mentioned in the last few, to choose products that are labeled as “noncomedogenic” to not clog pores.
Disclaimer: If you have sensitive skin, you can apply these products with caution to not cause problems
