What A Pleasant Surprise in Iceland!
I did NOT expect this at all

Iceland was the last place I dreamed of visiting. Yet, somehow, I managed to go there with a group of friends years ago. Hands down, it’s one of the best trips I’ve ever had.
Let me share a pleasant surprise I had in Iceland.
So, we were visiting Seljalandsfoss. I have no idea how to pronounce that!
I only know that it’s a stunning waterfall located in the southern region of Iceland. You can even walk behind the waterfall to take some more breathtaking photos!

I was thoroughly enjoying the magnificent nature when, ironically, nature started to summon me in another way.
The urge to use the restroom was becoming increasingly prominent as I tried to suppress it as best as I could. I didn’t even know if there was any place I could use.
We were in the middle of nowhere!
It turns out that there was an outhouse on the premises, away from the falls.
From the outside, it looked like one of those unimpressive and stinky port-o-lets, but in a more rustic, wooden style.
Of course, I wasn’t too keen to use it. I wanted to wait. But the call of nature was urgent and could no longer be ignored. How persistent!

Taking a deep breath to brace myself for the worst of horrors, I reluctantly opened the door and stepped inside.
Much to my surprise, the outhouse was one of the cleanest ones I’ve ever seen! There was no unspeakable stench, launching a rude assault on my nose.
There was even running water and soap. What in the world…?
I was stunned. It was absolutely magical.
Before I went in, I pictured a nightmare of a restroom. Instead, I just became speechless. It was even nicer than some other public washrooms I’ve seen.
I’ve realized that Iceland is a very clean country. It’s beautiful to see how well they take care of their environment!
Naturally, I was one relieved and happy visitor that day.
