iPoetry-The Short Place Prompt
What a Difference a Day Makes
by Dinah Washington
I had a brother who gave me much he was generous, kind, and full of love he came from a special place above
he resembled Clark Gable and was a Navy man had wonderful dimples and had me mend his broken pimples
he taught me to play all types of card games, Yahtzee, and Scrabble he was definitely a pro kept me busy and in the know
he swam like a fish, a great diver he was taught me to swim, brotherly love the cause
I am a writer because of him he brainwashed me to read everything gave me his books when done an adventure always and so much fun
this song he loved by Dinah it’s true that it’s my favorite now too when it plays, I feel his warmth and teary-eyed remembering his love which made me survive
he made such a difference in my life whether one day or more I will never forget how he opened for me a door
like the song, what a difference a day made twenty-four little hours brought the sun and the flowers where there used to be rain
he brought the sun to me every day making me feel cherished in his very special way.
Thanks for reading.
