We’re on January 6, Did You Already Fail This Year’s Resolution?
Don’t feel bad, It’s happening to many.

A part of us recognizes that we are wrong at something or that perhaps a bad habit is stopping us from reaching our highest potential. In whatever situation you find yourself in, I want to motivate you to accept the reality that we are not perfect and that even if we achieve all our resolutions — there will always be something else that we want to improve in ourselves.
I remember when I was a naughty child, and my mother caught me doing something wrong; She would lovingly tell me, “Son, that’s wrong. Don’t do it again. You promise?” and I would answer her with dirty tears in my eyes, “Yes mom, I will not do it again. From tomorrow I will do better.”
The next day I felt fresh and with the mentality of inhaling my best strength and exhaling the best of me.
However, throughout the day, I faced the same difficulties, problems, and challenges that again took my breath away, and I ended up falling into distress.
But I learned that as long as I am alive, I will always have a chance to start over the next day, and even if I fail again, I have to accept it and get on my marks again, get ready, set, and go.
The most important thing is to accept that we are not perfect. We do not have to bang our heads until we make a hole in the sheetrock wall any time we fail.
Imagine your house if every time you fail one of your promises, you give the wall a headbang — It would look like Woody Woodpecker’s house.
Failing our promises does not mean that we are failures. It just means that we are approaching the conquest the wrong way.
I learned that drawing a line or proposing a date gives us a starting point. But we need more than that — We need to build momentum.
Momentum is something we underestimate.
It is the invisible force behind the locomotive pushing power.
It’s not necessary to step on the accelerator all the way to move a heavy train with all its wagons. Little by little, it builds momentum until it slides on the rails without pressing the accelerator — The load pushes itself.
We can apply the same physical laws to achieve results in everything we propose in our lives. We need to focus on building momentum.
We are faced every minute of every day: with making the right decisions, choosing the right path, and taking the right course of action, or you will lose the war and the part of you trying to become better–Marc Summers: Declare War on Yourself.
Each good daily decision is a positive vote for your goal. The more votes you have in your favor, the more chances to win the battle.
Take your eyes off the goal and put it in a system that will lead you to win the battle.
The beginning of a new year may be an opportunity to start with a new mindset and goals. But you can’t just trust that. For each endeavor, you need to build momentum.
Every time I start a challenge in my life, I take my decision seriously for a day until it becomes a week. I build enough momentum to carry my decision over a month in that period.
It doesn’t matter if you start a new challenge every New Year or every Monday; never forget that it’s improving 1 percent every day that you will achieve your endeavors.
Making a choice that is 1 percent better or 1 percent worse seems insignificant at the moment, but throughout moments that make up a lifetime, these choices determine the difference between who you are and who you could be. Success is the product of daily habits — not once-in-a-lifetime transformations–James Clear: Atomic Habits.
I want this article to help you in something, at least to figure out the path that will lead you to achieve your endeavors. For the rest, it is in your hands and in your determination to achieve it.
And don’t feel miserable if you fail; it is human to make mistakes.
