Well Played

When there is no winning or losing and well played is the only reward.

The puzzle of life is strange Who knows who created this maze all mortals are enchanted by! They play to win and love to play

But the promising paradox is, there is no winning Players are fooled into thinking about winning or losing The plot is set only to Believe in the riddle Give their best to comprehend, then try to unravel.

As long as they are lost and searching They are in the game Call it irony or the beauty of the master-plan Once solved they are disqualified from this game.

This puzzle is like an unfathomable mystery Once solved, achieved the goal, they are enlightened souls

They will leave the maze, neither lost, nor won Just well played and they will be gone! Freed from the viscious circle of life and death Freed from the me, mine, myself labyrinth Freed from the prejudiced subconscious Ohh! far from these virulent vulnerabilities, they will be gone!

This poem is written in response to the prompt by Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她) via her poem Perhaps.

As always Lucy stirs the poetic soul inside us by giving some food for thought. Hope you enjoy reading this short poem and give your best to the puzzle called Life. There is no winning or losing, well played is the only reward.
