Welcoming 2023 Full of Hopes
Dare Dream and Go Get It
New Year’s Resolutions! Have you made one?
Years come and go!
Resolutions are made and kept!
Resolutions are made and forgotten!
Are you going to make it or forget it?
As we all approach the end of 2022, we are starting to shift our focus to welcoming the New Year 2023 full of hopes and expectations. We can already feel the positive vibes with the shift in everyone’s thoughts to the positive side; making their wishes, giving power to their dreams, preparing a to-do list, making arrangements to start new projects, etc. There should be a heightened expectation this year, as we have traveled a bit far post-pandemic.
What about my plans?
Yes, I’ve already set deadlines for so many things for 2023. Of course, I’m going to share. Maybe, it should help someone.
When you say New Year, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is “New Year’s Resolution.” Have you made one or do you have a long list of them? If yes, my best wishes for you to succeed. If you say no, then no worries, you can still make a resolution and succeed even if you make it half year through. Either way, it’s about working towards your goal rather than just saying.
I’m a “now” person. I don’t really have the habit of making New Year’s resolutions and I wonder why should I wait that long to do something. Any time of the year I decide on something, I just do it. But, if I decide and fix it in my mind then there is no stepping back.
I’ve already started working on so many things that I’ve set deadlines for, which I am hoping to complete before the end of this year, 2023.
At Home

My son is a 9-year-old self-learner, a preschool dropout 😉 and unschooled. He’s been giving me all the signals lately that he will not be needing much of my attention anymore for his studies. This is one area that I am worried about as I’m preparing to get busy. I’ve been on a career break for a decade now, doing full-time parenting and helping my son build his own learning environment and methodology. Anyway, he has an interest and makes his own landscape designs while I do my designing on the other side. He’s already a partner in my business. I spoke to him about this and he said “yes mom, we’re doing this together.” He gets annoyed whenever we pass by the garbage piles on the roadsides and comes up with brilliant ideas to keep the cities clean. How wonderful right? I’m so grateful!
If you ask about my husband, I cook healthy, tasty meals and he loves that. Being a foodie, he needs more variety. I’m hoping not to compromise on that too. Are you a foodie too? You are welcome anytime to dine with us!😌🙏

You can see the happiness on her face, relishing the “cheese moon poori.” It’s my son’s own recipe made of wheat flour, stuffed with cheese, to make the breakfast interesting for his two cousins. All four of us had great fun preparing them together.
Having said that, oh! the household chores, I’m getting dizzy! Maybe I’ll have to buy a few robots.🤨
🏕️ Hoping to do some travel this coming year, exploring some unexplored places on Earth. It’s been a while now, after the pandemic. I miss all those trips and adventures.
Business
I’m a dare-dreamer and go-getter. I’m working to restart my company “PlantsEra Naturescapes” (landscaping with nature-inspired designs, Nature re-creation) which was in limbo due to the pandemic. Whether or not things fall into place, I’m determined to kick-start this, “my dream journey” of transforming places. My DIY projects of upcycling during the lockdown have blessed me with another baby “Renova — Upcycle and Uplift” through which the abandoned trash can be given life before they end up in a landfill. Some groundwork is already done. I’m preparing the content for the company website and shall launch it by the end of January 2023.
Writing ✍️
You know what? I’m writing a storybook and fixed a deadline too. I’m going to complete and publish an illustrated storybook for children toward the end of 2023. I’ve already found the illustrator, listed out the chapters, in fact, completed the preface and the first chapter. I’m excited!

Oh! “The Medium!” is the best thing that ever happened in my life. I fell in love with writing, with Medium. With this new diversion, life is getting more exciting, and I will continue doing that. I have 20+ drafts, some of which are halfway through, and more ideas and memories, all popping up new titles. So, I can promise you that more and more exciting stories will be coming through to entertain you every week throughout the year.
I wish I could find more time to read and read and read the stories from 1000s of wonderful authors here on Medium and make new friends with this lovely community here that I am enjoying lately with claps and comments. So many good hearts in one place, spreading happiness!
And, by the way, I’m celebrating my century “100 followers,” as I’m writing this, yippee!🙌 It’s a big number for me, yes!
I will also continue writing my triple S, “SSS” (Sustainability-Start Small) series on LinkedIn every Tuesday and as I’m writing this I’ve completed the ninth episode. It’s about our contribution as humans towards preserving Nature by doing small things in our day-to-day life.
Did I miss anything? I hope not.
I’m begging Mother Nature! to make the days longer and give me an increment in the years of my lifetime. I have so much to do.
I’m envisioning all this to happen, set deadlines, and have already started working towards my goals. I’ll do my part, the rest is up to Nature! Let Life happen!
May you be blessed with all the strength and the powers to “Dream Big and Achieve Big!”
Dare Dream! and Go Get It! Good Luck!
🎉Happy, Prosperous New Year!🎉
