About Us:
Since our first article back in 2022, we’ve received an overwhelming response from writers, creators and readers. Because of this continued support, we’re excited to welcome new voices to our community.
Before reaching out to be added as a writer or editor, please read this document. Then, follow the instructions below for inquiries.
We are a publication featuring neurodivergent voices, science-backed articles and personal stories about neurodivergence. This sounds like your cup of tea?

Why Write with Neurodivergent?

What We’re Looking For:
1. Well-Researched Articles:
- Exploring one or all facets of neurodivergence.
- Ensure well-attributed content rooted in scientific reality.
- Provide supporting information and source links as much as possible where applicable.
- Tips, tricks and helpful Items which aid neurodiverse challenges.
2. Impactful Personal Stories:
- Shared experiences on physical, mental, or emotional well-being influenced by neurodivergence.
- Not necessarily as heavily sourced as our well-researched articles, this type of article focuses on powerful personal stories, anecdotes and tales.
- Focus on daily life and make articles insightful and engaging to others. Always think, what can someone take away from my writing.

Guidelines:
- Please submit only proofread, edited and finished works.
- We’re looking for insightful, contextualized, and engaging articles.
- Follow Medium’s Quality Standards for stories that enrich readers’ lives.
- Articles can vary in length, though 500 words or more are necessary for publication. Longer articles are welcome; prioritize clarity, accuracy and organization.
Each Article Submitted Needs:
- Adequate amount of images (not too little, but not too many!) Here is a link to find websites that offer commercially free images for this very purpose.
- Sources where claims are made.
- Proper usage of titles, subtitles, quotes and other formatting to facilitate reading. Refer yourself to this post of information on formatting.
What We Avoid:
- Unsupported opinions, false claims and clickbait.
- Biased writing intended to insult or create a stir.
- AI-generated content.
- Fake news.
- Discriminatory comments, texts or any kind of ignorant words.
- Hate, bullying, shaming.

Revenue:
- If your article is part of the Medium Partner Program, you’ll receive 100% of the generated revenue.
- Writers are encouraged to join the Partner Program for monetary rewards based on article value.
- Participation in the Partner Program is optional and doesn’t affect the eligibility of your article for Neurodivergent.
Banner:
Starting this year each newly published Neurodivergent article will have a banner at the bottom of the post.

- Want to have an impact on people across the globe.
- Want to help a growing community of neurodivergent folks.
- Are already implicated in the Neurodivergent community.
- Have published at least 1 article in Neurodivergent.
- Write in a way that shows proper application of the guidelines.
- Are available for editing submitted articles, especially between the months of April-November.
