Weighing the Value: Is the Pursuit Really Worth It?

Have you ever been obsessed with pursuing something that you didn’t stop to think if you were rushing in with delusional intentions?

At different moments in my life, I dealt with obstacles and closed doors with the emotional range of a rainbow.

On the spectrum, I was either hysterical or I would pretend that a no meant not now.

Being emotionally involved in a situation would at times lead us to come up with rose-colored glasses solutions or explanations.

In some instances, we feel like life is pulling some weird puppet strings, and we are pulled toward a direction in which you can’t logically explain.

As if there is more than meets the eye…

When you desire something so bad; how can you be impartial and see what is really going on?

Dealing With External Factors:

Letting go might be appropriate if the situation is beyond your control and there is nothing you can do to change or influence it.

Accepting the facts and moving on is what it involves.

If the situation needs time to grow, change, or resolve, being patient is important.

Patience involves waiting for the right moment or for things to unfold without rushing.

Assessment Of The Situation:

If you’ve been giving it time and the situation’s still stuck in the same rut, then maybe it’s time to wave the white flag and let it go.

Keep checking how things are going regularly.

If there are positive signs or incremental improvements, being patient may be justified.

“Letting go doesn’t mean that you don’t care about someone anymore. It’s just realizing that the only person you really have control over is yourself.” — Deborah Reber

Self-Improvement:

Sometimes, moving on is like leveling up in your own journey.

It’s about realizing that certain goals, relationships, or expectations don’t match where you’re heading or what you truly want.

Being patient is like planting seeds for personal growth.

It helps you build toughness and the ability to handle tough situations without getting all frustrated.

Inner Guidance:

Trust your instincts.

If deep down you feel that it’s time to release something, it’s likely a signal to let go.

If your gut feeling says waiting is the way to go, and it feels like there’s a good reason behind it, then go ahead and be patient. Trust that inner nudge.

“Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet.” — Aristotle

Life’s a bit like juggling.

Sometimes you drop a ball (letting go), and sometimes you keep them all in the air (being patient).

Finding the groove is like mastering the juggle of letting go and waiting.

At times, a third party perspective cannot hurt.

But more importantly, take a moment to check in with yourself, look at what’s going on, and decide what makes you feel good and where you want to go.
