Weekend Prompt: “Obstacles Are Detours In The Right Direction”

Dear gorgeous people,

I am sincerely hoping you are all doing alright. It has been a rather quiet week on Know Thyself and even on Medium itself, it feels like. Not sure what’s going on…I’ve read that a lot of gifted writers are removing themselves from this platform in favor of others where they get paid more and therefore, feel more appreciated for the work they put out there.

I can understand and empathize with that. Even though writing on here has never been about money to me, sometimes it does feel like there is a huge discrepancy between the amount of time spent researching article ideas and giving the publication a bit of “structure” and the rewards I reap financially. I know how frustrating it can be, that’s why it’s important remembering why we started our journey on here to begin with.

There have been a lot of changes on this platform and we ought to master the ability to adapt, both in the virtual world and the real one. Some of these changes may sometimes feel like obstacles, but are they really?

This weekend’s prompt is “Obstacles are detours in the right direction”. Maybe we could delve even deeper into this matter and view these obstacles not just as detours, but also as reminders to trust the timing of our life.
