“WeCrashed,” Apple’s latest original series starring Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway. Apple have described the series as “Inspired by actual events — and the love story at the center of it all. WeWork grew from a single coworking space into a global brand worth $47 billion in under a decade. Then, in less than a year, its valuation dropped $40 billion. What happened?”
The series is created and written Lee Eisenberg and Drew Crevello. The executive producers are Requa, Ficarra, Charlie Gogolak, Hathaway, and Natalie Sandy alongst with the two creators.
The series chronicles the rise and the fall of the WeWork company, one of the highest valued startups. The company started from just a single co-working space into a brand worth over $47 billion in under a decade, before it lost all of its value in a short space of time. The series will explore, inspired by true events, what happened to it.
