Websites That Help Me Write Content Better
Websites to help you develop content…
Writing content is one of the best ways to express your own thoughts. When thoughts are put into writing, sharing them and guiding someone else really makes you happy. Of course, since we are in the process of getting used to it at first, it is not possible to see any reaction. But when you start doing it every day, that’s when you’ll realize it’s better than the day before.
Yes, I had exactly these feelings. When I first started creating content, I was pretty inexperienced. And maybe I haven’t written any content for 2 years. I forgot to write the article, I just wanted to express myself. But let me tell you, my income situation was difficult. So I needed money. Later, I prepared articles for several websites and sent them to sell. Later, I sent an article to any of the websites with the content of ‘7 Websites Where You Make At Least $50 Per Article’ that I shared with you.
I sent it to many sites, but I couldn’t get enough attention because I forgot to write an article. Personally, I think I wrote a good article, but when I re-read the article, I realized that I didn’t write that much at all. I published it on another blog site, especially because they did not accept the ’10 Gemstones That Will Dethrone The Diamond’ content that I prepared for Listeverse.
This is how I realized that I am not really good at writing content. And I would like to share about 3 months of experience that has driven me better. Within 3 months, I will be sharing websites that improve my skills and help me write better.
1. Medium
You know more or less how I write since I also write here and read my content. When I published my first content, no one knew about me and I was pretty lonely. And even if I had any talents, I doubted. But I was ambitious to write and I believed I would do it.
Anyone can say this, but it’s really hard to write every day at first. Because the decision taken at first has to work even if no one has read you.
So this means: It means finding as many content topics as you can find as many articles as you can to get used to writing with 0 reading.
But when I started writing every day with a few changes and started posting good posts, I realized something had changed. My content was engaging and more readable. Thanks to this, I also gained many real followers. Thank you to all the people who follow me and read my posts.
Now you may ask, what was the reason for writing this content? Yes, you are actually looking for the answer yourself. If you have a desire to write and everyone is against you (people who say you can’t do it, etc.), you have to write every day. You never know, maybe you’ll be really good at this writing job. Even though I am a writer who is just at the beginning, I enjoy writing very much.
Medium me; there are helpful people from here (I realized after sharing this content), it taught me how to make my writing better. In this way, I can write a long article every day without getting bored. At first, I had a hard time typing 500 words. Even if you check my first article; I wrote the first article in exactly 5 days (maximum 1500 words).
2. Vocal Media
Although this blog site is generally seen as Medium-like, it has many different aspects. E.g; When you create content on Medium you mostly write content for paid members but on Vocal if you write for everyone (If you make money from it). This encourages you to be good at content, especially SEO. In other words, to be more visible on Google and to rank first. While Medium does it himself, you do everything in Vocal.
In fact, writing in Vocal both educate you and increases your content marketing chances. Of course, writing in Vocal has its downsides for me. For example, I can say that one of them is that the traffic is low compared to Medium and that it cannot share your articles freely like Medium. Because the editors have to approve it. So it actually encourages you to get better. But the thing is, they usually approve every content if there is no plagiarism.
On Vocal, you earn money per view to monetize your content. It charges $3.80 for 1000 views for regular members, and $6 for 1000 views for Vocal+ members. If you are thinking of writing in Vocal, you can check out the content I wrote about how I earned $25 with only 96 reads. One of the features that make Vocal unique is that it gives lots of rewards. In this way, your desire to write is not lost and you want to write every day.
Vocal Media’s contributions to me; SEO knowledge, competition (content contests), portfolio creation (for freelance writers).
3. Simily
Simily, which is one of the unknown websites, is a place with more fiction and content that will strengthen your story side. I always wanted to find a different website apart from the ones I still wrote above. Later, while browsing Medium, I came across a blog. They were talking about the Medium alternative website Simily on the blog. At first, I thought it was a site like Medium, but when I examined the site, I realized that they focused more on fiction and story.
It has no rules, share and go. You can create and share any type of content you want, but mostly fiction stories. Although the website has a very little audience, I think it can be written because it is under development.
If you’re not a fiction writer, it’s fine because you can share any content. For example, I shared any list content. Although it did not have a large audience, 7 people read at most one content. But I think it may change in the future because the team wants to improve itself.
A very unknown website can actually be tried, as you will be one of the first authors. But as I said, there are not many authors and the contents are almost never read. But you can write here to improve your fiction and story direction.
You can also monetize the content you create. Currently, they are making payments via PayPal. I haven’t received any payment yet, but if I do, I will try to share it here.
