We Won’t Stay Down

The one-eyed fighter prepares for his fight — He’s got to get back to the ring; The wing-less pigeon flaps through the night — She is sure she’ll fly by morning. That beggar kid with his broken limb does Skip with a skippin’ rope in hand; And the girls who’ve been violated so — They know they’ve got some place to go.
