We Stand at The Crux: 15 Days Left to Begin the Change to a Better Future
Women’s Rights are on The Line

Women today live, and control, their own lives and their own bodies and that’s as it should be. But many people aren’t aware of just how recently (in the USA) those lives became possible.
Before Congress passed Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974, only forty-six years ago, a woman couldn’t open a bank account without her husband’s signature, let alone apply for something as basic as a credit card.
Nor could a woman obtain a lease or mortgage or automobile loan without her husband’s approval, or for unmarried women, her father’s or a brother’s permission.
The ruling Patriarchy still clung to the concepts that making difficult business decisions and responsibly managing money were too complex for a woman to understand and they needed to be protected from such things.

Hint: don’t try that with a twenty-first century woman. Few modern women will freely allow a man to dictate her life decisions, try to control her spending or tell her she can’t have a credit card.
A woman shouldn’t have to marry just to get the same rights men have always held, including her right to control her body.
If a woman becomes pregnant and for reasons entirely her own, decides to terminate the pregnancy, it’s her choice.
She controls her body and her life and her future. Her body, her choice.
One hundred years ago this year, women finally got the right to vote. Until Forty-six years ago, women didn’t have most of the rights that modern women, modern society, take for granted.
Although Roe v Wade is unlikely to be overturned for the last forty years, those rights have been chipped around the edges, slowly eaten away by state and local laws.
In effect, new Local and State restrictions make the rights provided by Roe v Wade irrelevant.
Twenty-four states require abortion clinics to meet hospital standards (8 feet wide hallways aren’t possible in small clinics).
One state requires a “24 hour “cooling off” period. As if the woman hadn’t agonized over the decision ahead of time. But that law is being challenged in court.
Georgia’s “Heart beat” Bill made obtaining an abortion at or after six weeks, a point in which many women don’t yet know they’re pregnant, murder with the death penalty a sentencing option.
Those laws have left some states with only a few locations a woman can go for a safe abortion and those often require overnight travel and time off from work, a privilege many women can’t afford.
And new impediments are proposed daily.
Despite multiple attempts, Roe v. Wade hasn’t been overturned and the Supreme Court has overturned some of the strictest state laws, and allowed some to stand, but with the latest Court appointee (not publicly confirmed as of this writing but, confirmed), new challenges to it are waiting.
For a 6–3 conservative over minority Court Session to begin.
And the stacking of Federal Courts around the nation with judges who’s only real, but unspoken, requirement for the lifetime appointment is being “pro-life” (no religious test, just usually Christian by default), and “conservatives” who hide under the banner of bring “Originalists”, has given the Evangelical Right “Pro-Life” movement most of its goals.
Well, there’s still that whole “Theocracy” thing but with control of the Federal Courts it is only a matter of time.
And we only have FIFTEEN (15) days left to begin the change we need to protect women’s rights. Especially considering our new, Republican-provided Overlords, the Federal District Courts, Local to Appeals to SCOTUS, at your service.
“If a political party does not have its foundation in the determination to advance a cause that is right and that is moral, then it is not a political party; it is merely a conspiracy to seize power.” - Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Consider this your own Countdown to D-Day, a last chance to choose your future and the kind of world you want to live in.
