We Must All Change To Bring The 21st Century About

On one side poverty, suffering, ignorance, destitution, on the other side obnoxious wealth, extravaganza, compulsive hoarding.
Our existing economic system prioritizes the stock market over the people even during a pandemic, forcing them to work by risking their lives even as those who run the show post record profits.
Defunded, privatized healthcare systems either cannot handle the load or try to rob people blind.
People either end up with hundreds of thousands of dollars of student debt or stay ignorant to the point of believing in a flat earth.
We can’t move forward into the 21st century like this.
Humanity Has Never Been Richer Or With Better Technology
We have the money. We have the technology. We have the knowledge.
We are able to create the best society we can ever imagine.
We can provide food, housing, education, jobs, healthcare, services, amenities to every single person on the planet.
We have the money and technology to do it, and at the point these fall short, we have the methodology to scale all of these to the entire society.
Every problem that exists has been solved by someone, somewhere before, and everything that is needed has ample supply somewhere.
Its not that we are unable to achieve the best possible utopia we can imagine today.
It’s that we don’t even try.
Instead of trying, we keep alive a system that allows compulsive hoarding by a minority, who hoard for no other purpose than appeasing their own self-worth and self-importance. Because the kind of wealth that is being hoarded now is not in any way actually usable. It can only exist in the form of ownership of large economic organizations and resources — as control.
And those who compulsively hoard and keep the control just tell us that what we have is ‘the best’ there is. Of course, why would they let go of the societal steering wheel which they have so obsessively grasped in their grips…
So the vicious, self-destructive cycle of the majority working harder and the minority hoarding even harder, goes on and on.
We Must Start Something New
We must stop listening to those who hold the helm and those who defend them and start looking forward.
We must start prioritizing the people over ‘the economy’, we must make society a place that is worth living, we must take care of the planet that we live on.
We must move towards a participatory economy that works for the people and works through that very people.
We must stop hoarding and enforce investing — in the people, in the society, in our planet’s well-being.
We must discard old, dirty ways of doing things, from 200-year old energy technologies to top-down, hierarchical, and elitist economic organization structures.
Because 21st century can only materialize as it was dreamed of only when people lift their heads up from their obsessions and start walking forward together, hand in hand.
And if we do that, we will make the utopia happen.
