We Might be Making a New Religion Soon

Truth Singularity & Meaning Inflation

I think the hardest part of learning something new has been trying to justify and work out how remarkably not new it is.

Sometimes I feel like I am crazy because no one else seems to see it or at the very least don’t seem to give it much credence.

Almost every single person who I follow and learn from in the physics, philosophy, psychology, technology, sociology, economics, geopolitics, and spirituality space, seem to be slowly sliding to one point, one step at a time and in their own special way.

That chain of topics is what I would consider the entire chain sliding towards the point. However, there are things that are already there like music, or geometry.

That point that I see them headed towards is so apparent to me and yet my brain just cannot find the words to capture it, and it’s frustrating.

I Think the Truth is Simple Really

All you need to do to see it is unify all the opposites and you are basically staring at it. Subjective Objective. In Out. Reality Abstraction. Science Religion.

The problem is, when you do that, what the hell are you looking at?

It seems the human mind is not built to perceive things that do not matter to us. And the things that matter to us most are the problems right in front. The paradoxes that are not resolved today.

But I know when we all get there, we are going to see everyone, literally everyone from every field and every person from every walk of life say “Oh… yeah I knew that… I always knew that! Why didn’t I think of that if I always knew that?”

Or maybe they have been thinking about it and they don’t know why they didn’t think of the implications.

The Scrambling

The thing is that it looks like we are probably going to land at this Unified Truth at the same time. But everyone is running in their respective lines out of excitement, fear, desire for leverage, and desire to be recognized for their work.

At the very least I am talking about myself, if I were being honest. But I don’t think it is just me. Everyone working towards that Truth is driven by the same thing as the rest of humanity and the Universe.

However, I think that as I gain greater clarity, I am realizing that the destination is actually inevitable. There is no need to ‘run’ as it were because the reality is that we are ‘falling’ towards it naturally. If I didn’t do a single thing, we would reach the same destination because someone would randomly find the urge in themselves to take on whatever role I cease to play.

With that in mind, it looks like one big Scramble.

If we are already going, why swim so hard, ya know?

Peace and Change is Fundamental

I think that is really important for me to do. I have been trying to teach myself patience and to calm down and to let go of all these pulls.

The desire to get ahead is strong because my perception of my own deprivation is its equal dancing partner.

I suspect that in the world we are headed towards, there just won’t be any ‘getting ahead’. It won’t be possible for so many reasons and in so many angles but here is a set of questions to help you see what I mean:

What happens when you can’t lie? When everyone knows the same Truth, even if it’s in their own language? When we all have access to all the information anyone else has? When nothing and anything can be real?

When the line between Freedom and Power is blurred or stark at will?

When the only thing left are the twinkling stars of each individual’s dream?

Getting ahead in the way that we think about it doesn’t mean the same thing. Getting ahead could only be a private affair instead of a life necessity.

Weirdness Like that is Where New Religions Come From

Ideas and symbols have a life cycle. Their memetic potency has only so much charge in the human spirit before we see it as just another Idea or Symbol. Something to use at the butt of a joke or to recycle in a fresh new paradoxical way.

The sarcasm of sarcasm of meta meta meta irony that you get from the internet is basically inflation rising to insane levels as people try to evocate meaning out of a defunct and meaningless context to our existence. Things start to mean everything and by that point, it means just about nothing to the human soul.

Many religions have become a meme. The arts have become a meme. The artists have become a meme. Our political and economic structures have become a meme. Our sanity itself has become a meme. And even love intimacy and loyalty have become a meme. They likely won’t be able to get young men to go to war because the country itself is a meme.

It’s not that these things don’t matter to us. And it’s not that culture is in decline.

It’s that the symbolic charge of our context, our zeitgeist, is all used up. We just keep trying to wring meaning out of the same old things.

There’s no more juice in it.

The Passions Hidden in Sacrifice

The only thing that can refill the meaning in our context is someone looking at our society and being so unapologetically real, soulful, honest, unwavering, and intolerant of anything less that what is the most true to our souls, that no amount of meme-ing could stop its impact.

And the only acts that can carry that weight is sacrifice. The sacrifice for something deeply meaningful to all of us, against all odds and beyond all reason. In a way, such actions are the death blow to the old context. They make a full mockery of it, the ultimate meme of our collective limitations and sufferings to say:

“Hey, better is not for later. It is for today. It is for Right Now. And it always has been and always will be. Stand as the Soul, not as a Corpse.”

No yelling. No fighting. No crying. No pleading

Just Truth.

And if you get something like that from someone who means it? Someone who doesn’t just die for it, but rather who refuses to live without it? Insists on its presence in every waking moment?

Well… let’s just say, Jesus didn’t get himself killed on the cross for nothing. The Bhudda didn’t starve himself under that tree for the lols.

I think when things start to change a lot and when the stress and suffering of those around you increase, the question ‘why’ is inevitable. And I think that the changes we will see from opening up to this new dimension of things for humanity, will be as liberating as it is stressful.

Some people are built to pull the ‘why’s’ out of the universe and the universe seems to drop those people at the time they are needed most like an Avengers movie.

So I’ll chill out more. We are gonna be doing a lot of changing in the next couple of decades.

And that isn’t all that new at least.
