We Just Keep Running It Back

Why do we do the same things over and over, which produce one result, yet we expect a different result? We keep starting and rewinding our same habits repeatedly. And next thing you know, years have gone by, and you’re still making the same mistakes you did a decade ago.

Habits — whether effective or ineffective — seem impossible to break. That’s why we often do the same things for years on end. It gets so bad that we no longer realize we’re doing the same things anymore because habits often become actions we take without thinking — if we’re not careful.

Awareness requires significant effort. If you can increase your awareness, you can increase the effectiveness of your habits. But without awareness, you’ll keep running back the same ineffective habits, ending with the same results you don’t desire.

How much longer will you keep running it back?
