We Have the Support and Love That We May Not Realize Right Now

A poem on my ever-smiling friend who passed away last month.

With twinkles in your eyes a smile always adorned your face where you never got sad even when the entire world was against

Curious about every step Never anxious or in rage I never saw you angry not heard a single swear word from the sweet nectar of your voice

I may get mad many times offended You would calm me down Saying everything will be okay

Where did you go, my dearest friend? How would I say what you meant? Left us all in grief The gaping wound that we now lick

I know you have found your peace Maybe the universe is teaching us That we also are never alone We have the support and love that we may not realize right now!

Thank you, Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她), for the prompt. I love your emoji challenges. This poem is for my best friend, who always kept smiling. He passed away due to COVID last month.
