We Have Lost Our Common Thread

A people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.” Marcus Garvey

So, what?

Our “Separatist Nation” discussed ideology and how it affects our society. That discussion implies that we have lost our common thread, our reason for being, and the system designed to keep a stable government. Many people at this point may say, “So What?” That is the question. We are no longer a Nation that pledged “Allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.” We are proving with our actions that we are divisible.

We are now at least two ideologies that pledge allegiance to either the “Blue ideology” or the “Red ideology.” We have NO COMMON THREAD.

The 235-year-old threads that held this Nation together started being bulldozed to the sidelines by Progressive Woodrow Wilson 100 years ago. It has become the ax that has finally divided our nation. WE NO LONGER FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION.

Today, many people feel, like the Medium article “Screw The Constitution!” states. They do not know that Woodrow Wilson beat them to it 100 years ago. All have or want to shred it, ideally and physically, as the last image in the article demonstrates.

We pledge our allegiance to the Flag and the Republic, but none would exist without the “System” of government DEFINED by the Constitution.

Everybody is using pieces and parts of that “system” as if it was a car that could run without an engine.

We VOTE because the Constitution prescribes that. We have an executive, legislative, and Courts because of the Constitution. It takes six years to totally change the government actors, as defined by the Constitution.

A car is a system, just as our government would be a system (if it followed the Constitution).

A SYSTEM — IS A WHOLE THAT CAN NOT BE DIVIDED INTO INDEPENDENT PARTS. Many of the following definitions and explanations come from Learning with Russell Ackoff, one of the best System teachers of the 20th century.

A System — The Car is a system.

The car’s essential requirement is to transport people and materials from one place to another. The vehicle loses its required property if ANY essential part is missing. If we take the engine out of the car, the car cannot deliver people and materials; neither can the engine alone.

If you take the car apart, what do you have? You have the “sum” of the parts at best, nothing else. When the vehicle is in working order, what do you have? The “product” of the interactions of the parts.

If we take the best parts of the best cars in the world, can we build the best car in the world? NO. The parts will not fit. A vehicle, especially today, is a micrometrical, finely tuned machine assembled with precision and tuned to work together. It is a product of its parts.

Synthetic Thinking

Can you understand the nature of a car by analyzing a tire? How about analyzing each part in the garage where we took it apart? NO. We cannot understand the nature of a system by “analysis.” This was a recent revolution in thinking that happened in the 1950s. Analysis only tells us “how it works.” The product of analysis is “know-how.”

We can only understand the nature of a system in the context of a larger system. A car in England has the steering wheel on the right side. Why is that? Taking the car apart and analyzing all the parts will not tell us WHY. To understand the “Why,” you need to go to the “Transportation System,” the system above the car. There, read the history of the car in England. Remember the jousters? They held the lances under the right arm and approached each other right-arm-to-right-arm, thus driving towards each other from the left.

Yet today, everybody still thinks that we can understand the nature of complex things by analysis! That is the social oxymoron of people.

A System — The government

Can you understand the nature of the government by the analysis of a Congressman? How about analyzing each part in the garage where we took the government apart? NO. If we took Rand Paul to Mars and talked to the Martians driving us crazy with their UFOs, explaining how our government works by discussing what Rand Paul does, would they get the picture of our government? NO. Even if we took Nancy Pelosi or Charles Schumer to Mars, the Martians might like her, Schumer talks a good game, but they still would not understand our system of government.

The President, Congress, or SCOTUS alone cannot do what the government does.

All the implications of the Constitution designed our system of government to work through compromise. The compromise by the elected officials working ideas together to help people grow within a healthy economy. That IS the essential chess piece that wins all the games — people.

What Broke Our Government System?

The Administrative branch of the government, imposed on top of our government by Woodrow Wilson, does whatever they want, enacting regulations that affect every one of us as if they drove our car.

This Woodrow Wilson action is like adapting a second engine to a car. The car now does NOT go where we drive it. It goes where the “Administrative branch” wants it to go. We “think that we are driving that car with our vote?” We are wrong! Our vote is today a formalism. If all of us stopped voting, we would have an “illegitimate government” if it kept working. They need our vote ONLY to lend them legitimacy!

Nobody talks about the administrative branch of government is instrumental and has failed at everything they do for us individuals. Per Woodrow Wilson’s idea, they work to “mold Society” to what the elites (like he was) want. Our society today is being managed by the Administrative branch of government.

We don’t vote for them; they have jobs for life; all are progressive and retire with cushy health coverage and paychecks; their average annual salary today is $100,000. Further, when they need “help,” they hire a contractor to do the heavy lifting. When we count the contractors working for the government, we count Millions of people with hundreds of billions in contracts. That is where our TAXES are going.

What is the Synthesis of our Government?

We can only understand the nature of a system in the context of a more extensive system. Our founders saw the need for this. They described it in the “Declaration of Independence,” which is why it exists. It is our “Moral Law” because it explains our “reason for being.” Why we drive on the right-hand side of the street, so to speak. The Constitution spells it all out and creates “our system of government.”

Yet today, everybody still thinks we can understand the nature of our government without our Constitution. That is an explanation by analysis!

As Russell Ackoff loved to explain –

“Synthetic thinking gives you the role or function of the system in a larger system of which is a part and that explains it and yields understanding.

Analysis reveals structure and yields “how it works,” Synthesis reveals understanding, why it works the way it does.

System thinking is the fusion of analysis and synthesis. Depending on whether our objective is knowledge or understanding.”

Every Law is constrained within the environment in which it applies.

Without the Constitution and continually supporting the behavior of governments that spend Billions in a second “engine/legislative body” we do NOT VOTE FOR nor need — we have easily lost the thread of —

“What Are We Here For?”

“Ideology without a Constitution is like trying to fix a headache with brain surgery, and nobody can agree where, in the head, the pain comes from.”
