We Have A Fork on the Road as a Nation
People, ever since Trump got elected, have defined politics not by what they love but by what they hate. The rest of us are at a “Crossroads of hate paths.”
I Love the “Declaration of Independence,” Our Moral Law, and the “Constitution,” the law of the Land.

Politics and “politicians” all over the world today and in the past known history of the world have created all the problems nations suffer and started wars for their convenience. This, while using people as their shield to pay for the problems and/or wars. This started before “Nations” were defined.
Tribes — The Vikings
For example, England was formed by the invasion of Vikings (and here). Scandinavian, Denmark, Norway, Harald Hardrada, and Duke of Normandy, William, the latter the descendant of Scandinavian settlers in northern France. Part of that history is what also created the differences between England and Scotland. Those were the days when people followed outstanding leaders. Each Viking was independent to choose.
Our Nation
This weekend (December 15, 2023) marks the 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party. The demonstration against Britain’s taxation of Tea and their mandate telling us where to buy tea from. To date, it is probably the most profound riot in the history of this Nation. This event is not the only act of defiance that occurred but the most clear act of refusal to clearly differentiate philosophical roots of thinking.
The Central Idea of the USA Founding is in Our “Moral Law”
God, NOT the government, gives us, and endowed us with all the rights we have as individuals. The right to self-determination has always been that this country is based on the uniqueness and capacity for self-determination of each individual. Self-determination meaning, each of us has the basic freedoms needed to determine who, how, and what we are. Our own will determines each one of us. We own the government; the government does not own us.
USA Today explained it in detail in an article published by Heather Higgins on Nov. 3, 2008: “It’s perhaps good to remember first what makes America different from other countries. Unlike in other places that are defined by geography and ancestry, to be an American comes from subscribing to a particular set of ideas that are very, very different from those held in much of the rest of the world.
At the root of the American idea are the truths that our founders described as “self-evident” but that many people first take for granted and then fail to defend: that this country is based on faith in the uniqueness and capacity for self-determination of each individual.
That central idea came from a certainty that we were created by “nature’s God” and that God — not government — had endowed each of us with rights, first among which were life, liberty, and property, the combination of which allowed the pursuit — but no guarantee — of happiness. (It is precisely because the power of this argument was understood that those who advocated slavery denied the full humanity of slaves.)
That understanding led them to create for the first time in history a government built out of and respecting these universal rights of man, a government that was “of, by, and for” the people, not the other way around. And it also led them to craft our Bill of Rights.”
We are unique in this belief. Many Presidents forget this. Socialism is exactly backward; the people only have the rights the government entitles them to have. The extreme of socialism is Communism, where people have no rights at all.
Our Crossroads Today
One Nation? Split into two Nations? (England and Scotland); OR Re-adopt the rights of the individual, reasserting the Declaration of Independence as our Moral Law and the Constitution as the Law of the Land vs. Becoming a Socialist Nation, allowing the government to choose what is good for us.
We are right now at this crossroads as a Nation. Politics is driving our choices. Do we go down the path of Socialism and all its implications? Or, go back to the ideals and the system we created for the meritocracy of the individual?
For America — The Individual Choice
I cannot follow my intentions if I let others do my thinking. I believe in the freedom our forefathers fought for and allowed every single individual citizen in our land to have — “The Declaration of Independence and The Constitution.”
This is probably the only Nation in the World that elevates the individual to the level of his/her potential and allows them to achieve it (it is called “Ganas” in Spanish).
All other systems make-believe “egalitarianism” is the best and paint everybody with the same brush — Individuals do not have a choice unless they go outside the “system.” That brush varies from governments in Europe to others that are driven by autocrats like Mao Tse Tung, Stalin, or today’s Putin and Xi Jinping. The difference is the leeway any one individual is given.
When Trump was elected, there was an explosion of rioting in the streets that was followed by a political party manipulation of the media to create an atmosphere of revolution(us against them).
This intolerance of other “individual” opinions was/is refuted by our Founding Papers. This is how the English felt about the Colony Citizens and sent Armies to “control the people.”
The Declaration of Independence FIRST PARAGRAPH: “When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”
Is that what the Democrats and Republicans want? -> dissolve the political bands? Is it that intolerable?
Us Against Them
In Medium, there exists a section of people who dedicate themselves to writing hate content, mostly about Trump. I have read many partisan posts that spew bile, many distortions of the truth, and want blood as if we all lived in an abattoir because they don’t think any further.
With people like that, who needs enemies?
The rest of us, who make up about even 33% of the voters, are now supposed to choose between these two political religions?

The Army
Today, every Nation on earth has an Army why?
For the USA, Some people say:
“Since its inception, the military has contributed to forging a sense of national unity and identity. It is, therefore, a decisive component of U.S patriotic culture; there is an undeniable relationship between the military and society.”
This is not true today and has not been true since the government took advantage of the Vietnam War to create a “Professional Army.” Bought and paid for with 25% of the Budget (Discretionary 2022). Proof of that is that we have a fractioned political society.

Before the last WW, England owned the seas because of the Empire they built. Geographically they almost owned half the world. Since WWII there was a clear signal that we were top dog as the “Police of the World.” we spent money helping Russia and England during the war with war materials. We rebuilt Europe with the “Marshal Plan.” and Japan had General Douglas MacArthur as the power behind the power rebuilding and running Japan.
Since then, we “opened China” for world business (Nixon/Henry Kissinger) and helped them be where they are today. Moreover, being that china’s history is the oldest recorded history in the world, they have an ancestral belief they are the “natural” owners of the world. China does not really need a nuclear bomb; they have enough people to fight any war with just bullets. But, they have built their armed forces, to look like they are playing a tit-for-tat with us mostly because they want Taiwan, the number one national powerhouse of chip building in the world. Also as a reminder that those who own the seas own the world.
Nobody knows what Putin is thinking. He is fighting this war with Ukraine like Stalin fought WWII — throw people at it until something works. For Stalin, this was “Stalingrad.” It was, body count-wise, the costliest human sacrifice by men in power. Ukraine makes up for it with an intelligent approach, which requires sophisticated equipment and lots of ammunition to make up the difference for lack of personnel.
Somehow, the intelligence, technical daring, and commitment the “soviet Union” had in the past came from Ukraine. Two examples are, one, Vasily Chuikov, the absolute leader of the battle of Stalingrad. He led that battle from the middle of the city; two, Rocket building for the soviet union came from Ukraine. They had outstanding engineering. This was demonstrated even through the design of the Space Station.
Looking Back to The 20th Century
History teaches many things; one of them is that the nearby wars of the 20th Century were created by “ideology gone wrong.” WWI, supposedly by a fanatic who shot Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which was used as the pretext. WWII by a weak government taken over by a lunatic himself, Adolf Hitler. The Korean War became a civil war procreated by the “political division” of Korea between Stalin, Russia, and the USA at the end of WWII at the 38th parallel. This is true today, except the pseudo-owner of North Korea is China now.
Today in The USA
If, per the wishes of Obama, the Democratic party becomes the main driver of politics in the USA, we will go down the path of socialism, we can scratch our founding papers, and we will become a different country.
This will be a parallel track (similar to) the PRI in Mexico (they were the only party for 70+ years). Driving the priorities for the rest of us without necessarily paying attention to the people. Recently, Mexico left the PRI behind — today, they are owned by the Cartels (they have all the money). The people live in a corrupt society. Why are they coming here? I do not think is for the climate.
On the other hand, if we have a “civil war,” it will force us to look inward, and in the end, we will lose grip of the external world. China will be the winner.
Hanging Over ALL OF THIS…Is
The DEBT! — THIS IS THE FIRST PROBLEM WE NEED TO SOLVE.
If the government is to pay the debt: 1. It has to stop adding more debt. Today, they are compounding debt on debt.
2. The debt is adding at about 2 Trillion dollars per Year. At the end of 2022, the debt was 31.42 T; on December 16, 2023, the debt was 33.92 T and growing. We have grown the debt by 2.5 Trillion Dollars in one year.
3. Defense budget increases, recessions, and tax cuts have all caused the ratio of the Debt to GDP ratio to grow way above safe levels. The chart is shown in the article posted below. It is Titled “Total Public Debt as Percent of Gross Domestic Product — Source: Federal Reserve Economic Data.”
4. If we can’t change our government spending habits, we are headed for a default on our debt. This will have a calamitous effect on our economy and the World Economy.
The Debt to GDP ratio curve in the above post says: “According to the World Bank Group, eLibrary, Nations that face a debt-to-GDP ratio above 77% for a prolonged period of time will face slowdowns in economic growth — “The cumulative effect on real GDP could be substantial.” Right now out ratio is above 120%
WE NEED RADICAL CHANGE TO SOLVE THE DEBT PROBLEM.
TRUMP — THE COVID SHUTDOWN OF OUR ECONOMY INCREASED OUR DEBT !!!!!!! The restart and normalization of the economy also increased our debt.
NOBODY IN GOVERNMENT CARES:
- Biden added to the debt by paying for government programs to gain votes. Credit given to students to go to college paid for by the Government? Meanwhile, colleges created easy access to ALL for meaningless careers. The students could not find jobs in those careers. Universities have become corrupted societies only interested in assimilating easy money. They are producing corrupted minds.
- The deficit increases in spite of low unemployment. This is because the debt is so high, ~120% of GDP, way above the recommended 77%. We are compounding the debt because the debt payment is higher than what we can afford to pay — the interest rate we owe is compounding into the debt — this can only accelerate the hole we are in.
- We are losing our credit rating, leading to increased risk for the lender; therefore, the interest rate we will pay will continue to increase with the risk. This can only make the debt compounding worse. The interest rate cost increased by 40% in 2023. We went from AAA to AA+
- In all of their wisdom, Congress has suspended the debt limit — no austerity for the government. I.E., they will spend us into the ground.
- The government is running with continuous resolutions. This is like going to the grocery store and only buying what you need for today because that is all the budget you can afford or agree to with your other half.
- The government is running out of money for Social Security, Old Age and Survivor Insurance, and Medicare in about 10 years.
- If a President, ANY President, tells you he is “cutting our taxes,” — HE IS LYING! — HE is adding this to “Our Debt.”
Conclusion
This is not the time for ideology wars. This is not the time for career politicians. This is the time to solve the Debt Problem. We need someone who is a TRUE LEADER. Someone who can energetically work on this problem and get us on the road to a solution. We need to create a 30-year road map to the solution. (something NO GOVERNMENT has ever done). Minimize Government spending. Maximize revenue income. Do NOT overrun our Budget! EVER! Make that a LAW.
