I will go straight to the point on this because a lot has been said and written about the novel coronavirus that has been threatening the lives of people globally. Many countries have been hit the big time. Hospitals were overwhelmed that a country had contemplated choosing whom to treat and whom to leave to die. It was that bad.

The world is seeking for a solution. Whoever has this solution should summarize it and inform us. There is no more patient for a long thesis.

Covid-19: How it feels

Covid-19 symptoms defer in individuals. People who recovered from the virus have given varying accounts about their symptoms. This account is a summary of what I experienced. It is almost similar to what my neighbors described and the symptoms my friends complained about.

Difficulty in breathing: It feels like the air you are breathing is not sufficient. Air condition worsens it because it dries the nostrils and makes it more difficult to breathe. You rinse your face often with cold water because it gives you momentary relief. You sit closer to a standing fan, face to face. This too does magic. Because you are not breathing in enough air so the fan is giving you an additional supply of fresh air.

The pains in the chest: I felt this symptom for days before breathing difficulty set in. It began with centralized sharp pains around the ribs. The pains are felt most when you breathe in. Days later, it localized to the right side of the chest and the feeling of heaviness in the chest set in with difficulty in breathing.

You try to breathe fast to make up for the little air. There is this feeling that the oxygen around you is not sufficient, hence the urge to sit closer to a standing fan for more air. The more you try to breathe fast, the more you feel that heavy pressure on your chest.

The stomach upset: I had bouts of diarrhea and throw-ups. This too happened those I know who survived the virus. This symptom adds to the already existed tiredness and weakness of the joint.

Loss of Appetite: You try to put something in the stomach but your mouth is even tired to chew or swallow anything.

Restlessness: Breathing difficulty comes with the feeling of restlessness. You feel like sitting, standing, and lying down at the same time. The worst of it, you don’t lie down at night, you sit up throughout the night.

I didn't include cough because coughing has been part of us. So, the cough was treated and taken as a regular caller.

ABONIKI: The local decongentant

The major concern in managing a coronavirus patient is how to deal with the congested lungs and nostrils. How can the blocked airways be decongested? What do we do to subside the dry cough?

Developed countries that have good medical facilities for the citizens complained at one time that their hospitals were overwhelmed. What about countries that have poor health facilities? Those whose leaders loot the wealth meant for infrastructural development.

In these countries, the hospitals are already catching colds before the Covid-19 winter sets out. Many citizens cannot access medical help at the moment.

Are we to sit and watch ourselves and love ones die without doing anything? We refused to die at home waiting for the doctors who are also helpless at this time.

We have found a local means to decongest our lungs and nostrils. We did it using active ingredients known as Aboniki. Steaming this preparation with hot water while covering ourselves with blankets yielded the healing result in two days. We told the Medics but they said it is quackery.
