BLACK EMPOWERMENT
We Can Learn A Lot From White People
White people have achieved the success that we as Black people can learn from and use to our advantage
The problem that a lot of Black folks have that holds us up from making any real progress in this world, particularly in America, is our lack of collectivity.
We have too many Black folks that are about the “I” and not the “we.”
White folks in America and around the world operate on code with one another to maintain the system of white supremacy. That’s why they are in the position that they are in now.
That is why as our brother, The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, tells us: Study the white man.
We must study the white man. Learn from him. Observe the operations of the white man. He is successful. He makes no excuses for his failures. He works hard in a collective manner. We as Black people, particularly Foundational Black Americans, should do the same.
Having just a small percentage of Black people thrive isn’t going to get us out of this hole that we’re in, we need systematic solutions.
We need collectivism and unity.
For example, I’m a New Orleans Saints fan. Let’s say for example, the Saints go on to the Super Bowl and they take on the Cincinnati Bengals. I don’t give a damn if the score is 21–20, as long my team comes away with the victory, that’s all that matters.
I don’t want my team to tie with the opposing team just to hold hands and sing kumbaya.
If you’re a sports fan, I assume you would want the same thing for your team as well.
So if you care so much about waning your favorite sports team to win, why wouldn’t you have that same energy for the most important team that matters which is Black people?
Why would you not care about standing on top of the very people that have oppressed us for over 400 years?
Race is a team sport. We need to operate as a unit.
I play to win. I want my team, Black people, to stand on the top of that podium raising a Black fist in the air like our brother Tommie Smith during the 1968 Summer Olympics when it’s all said and done.
