We All Want Peace In The World, Don’t We?
It should be a goal of all

War ruins too many lives
Since the current conflict of Russia and Ukraine began over two months ago, there have been many lives devastated or lost. Refugees have fled from Ukraine to seek a better life where they hope to live in peace. There have been deaths of innocent civilians as well as military personnel. The country of Ukraine has been destroyed in many regions and aspects.
It all seems so senseless to be at war.
Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022, marking a steep escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014 following the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity. The invasion has caused Europe’s largest refugee crisis since World War II, with more than 5.7 million Ukrainians leaving the country and a quarter of the population displaced. [Wikipedia]
Reasonable people in the world should want peace to abound. There should be no logical reason for countries to be at war. There have been many wars throughout history which have ruined lives. Wars should not occur.
Wars come about because of hate and discord. Someone wants to control someone else or take over a country. Many people suffer because of wars.
During World War II, there was a segment of the population of the United States who were totally displaced because of racism and hate. Because Japan was at war with the United States, Americans and immigrants of Japanese descent were considered as the enemy. Most of the 120,000 living on the West Coast of the United States who were removed from their homes and placed in camps were American citizens.
They lost their homes, jobs, money, pets, friends, and nearly everything they had possessed. Some recovered after the war’s end, but others did not. The unjust incarceration was a result of the war and racism.

There were ten American concentration camps built-in remote and desolate areas of the United States during World War II to imprison the people of Japanese descent.
People should not be forced from their homes because of wars which should not be happening.
Why can’t we just have peace in the world so that so many innocent people do not have to suffer and die? The refugees who left Ukraine mostly would have liked to stay in their homeland. They felt that they were forced to leave to seek a safe existence.
There is opposition in all things as we are told. Dissension and disagreements are a part of life. There is no way that people will always agree. However, those conflicts should not have to escalate to the point that the result is the horror of war.
War has many terrible consequences. There is too much hate and contention in the world. Peace is desired and needed in order for people to live the good life that they deserve.
