We All Exist For A Specific Reason
This Is How I Discovered Mine

“Our purpose is what we’re most passionate about. It’s that thing we do better than all other things. It’s that thing that wakes us up early in the morning and keeps us up, late at night. It’s that thing we’d do, even if we weren’t paid a penny to do so. And last, but most definitely not least, seeing that it’s “Divinely” driven, it’ll be centered around helping others realize their purpose.”
The words above are what I believe to be true, and based on how I discovered my own purpose. I discovered my purpose during the creation of my first self-published book, “Positive Energy 24/7.”
The passion was genuine, I literally desired to do nothing more than write, this is what’s meant by “sacrifice is necessary for a greater good.” Imagine not wanting to eat, sleep, talk, go outside, etc. I was so focused that I couldn’t see or hear anything, nor did I care to. Completing Positive Energy 24/7 was the only thing I cared about, so as you can imagine, a number of people had mixed feelings about my mission from God. On the one hand, they were happy that I had discovered my purpose, but one the other hand, they were upset that it consumed so much of my time. They couldn’t understand because they hadn’t discovered their own purpose, because if they had, they wouldn’t have time to be worrying about me and mine. When our purpose is realized it’s a feeling that words aren’t worthy of describing, this is the assignment from God, so who are we to question? It’s all about the feeling, and obey it religiously.
The material that makes up Positive Energy 24/7 was never pondered upon, it was as if it was materializing by magic. It was at this very moment that I realized I hadn’t tapped into my purpose, but discovered it outright. My mind and spirit had become one, and the way I wrote made this self-evident. I had never done anything so consistently good as this before, it was a surreal feeling indeed.
This feeling had me waking up at 4 am every day, and going to sleep at 8 pm, writing relentlessly for the majority of the time. It reminded me of a T-shirt saying a friend of mine had created, which was: “Success Over Sleep.” There was no sacrifice too great when it came to fulfilling this obligation, sleep was a distraction, it seemed quite foreign, unnecessary at times. I began to feel like seven and a half hours ( it took me thirty minutes to actually fall asleep, as told to me by my wife) was too much, at one point I thought of not sleeping at all, but quickly reconsidered this notion.
Shortly after Positive Energy 24/7 was completed I held a book signing event, which exceeded my greatest expectations. Though a number of books were sold, this was never the mission of God’s desire. So, I created an ebook version and to this day, I have given away more copies of the ebook, than I have sold the paperback. It was all about getting the material in as many hands as possible because this world was in need of positive energy, 24/7.

For being a faithful servant of God, I was afforded many blessings, with the primary one being the ability to write creatively, effortlessly. Since the completion of my first book, I haven’t thought about anything I’ve written. My “why” when I write is to help awaken or accelerate the greatness within the reader. My “what” to make my “why” relevant are pieces meant to encourage, enlighten, and entertain.
I pray that these words will help assist you in truly realizing your purpose, and once you do, be ready to be forever transformed.
Happy reading, writing, and mingling.
