We Added An Exciting Layer To Our Relationship

When two people enter a long-term relationship, they expect it to last the rest of their lives. Up to now, I have met no one who told me they would move on after five years, and I don’t think I ever will.

Some years ago, my husband and I added kink to our lives. Not because we had problems, but because we were both interested in it long before we had met. We found kindred spirits in each other.

Because we perused the ‘scene’, we also met other like-minded couples. We’ve seen many a marriage fail because the couples hadn’t agreed on proper ground rules.

Ours was to always be together in the same room.

There was this one couple who added BDSM to their relationship, and that went fine. They rekindled what they had. Then the flame threatened to die again, and she started seeing other men, with her husband’s approval. That went okay-ish.

Then he started seeing other women.

No, not women… one woman.

He fell in love.

Things went downhill from there…

When I wrote about them, I used both our and the other couple’s relationship as inspiration. I have also added elements of dates we had with other couples during our kinky period.

She — the lady of the other couple — had stricter rules than me, even having to ask for permission to go to the bathroom. Nora, the woman in my series, is based on this lady.
