Create Reality on a Global Level

When we change our limiting beliefs we can change the world

First, I’m going to make a bold statement.

Your point of view creates your reality.

It’s a concept that most of us were never taught. Instead, we were told that things worked a certain way and that was the only way to look at them.

We were taught a single point of view. That’s how we view the world.

How I shifted a limiting belief

I was raised in a poor family and my parents struggled to make ends meet. When I left home and went out on my own, I worked hard to be successful, but no matter how hard I worked, I was going nowhere, fast.

I believed that it was hard to make money. I believed it was difficult to get rich. That was my point of view, and my decisions were based on what I believed to be true.

Then I picked up a book that changed my life.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad, by Robert T. Kiyosaki

It’s a story about someone who grew up like I did, in a family without a lot of money. His advantage was that he had two Dads.

Both Dads were strong fathers and worked hard. One was college-educated and one didn’t graduate high school.

Only one of them became rich. The difference was, they had very different opinions when it came to money.

One Dad would say, “study hard so you can get a job at a good company.”

The other Dad would say, “study hard so you can find a good company to buy.”

Like me, you may have been brought up to think that it’s hard to make money.

This book completely changed my viewpoint.

I learned that there was such a thing as ‘good debt’ and it was better to collect investments than it was to pay off your mortgage quicker.

I learned the rich don’t work to earn money. They earn money to buy assets. Income-producing assets.

I figured out that I had to get my money working for me.

I changed my belief.

I now believed it was easy to make money.

That allowed me to learn, apply the principles and put some strategies in place to get my money working for me. It worked.

Over time, I created my new reality.

My new point of view created a new reality.

I figured out how to do that for money, why couldn’t I do it for everything else?

Then I discovered it was difficult for me to apply it to other areas in my life.

Most of us have limiting beliefs that have been programmed into our minds, but if we practice changing them, maybe we can change the world.

If we start to question our limiting beliefs, we can see them for what they are.

The lies we tell ourselves.

When we change our limiting beliefs we can change the world.

There are three main reasons we resist this idea.

When we think about a problem, we go to our limiting beliefs. Then we tell these lies:

  • There’s not enough x to go around.
  • It’s hard to get x and it’s getting harder every day.
  • The problem is too big. We’re powerless. There’s nothing we can do about it.

These are the three big lies that teach us to stay in our point of view.

These lies reinforce our limiting beliefs.

If you think back to my example of how I changed my beliefs about money, you can see that it’s possible. I know it’s possible because it happened to me.

How to challenge your limiting beliefs.

First, think of something that you believe to be true about the world today. Something large enough and frustrating enough to matter.

Examine the belief.

Use the format of the three lies to see the limitations you’ve imposed on them.

Question each of the three lies.

  • Is there really not enough to go around? Is this a real problem or a belief? If you look at the situation another way, is there abundance?
  • Is it really hard to get x? Do you really need x or is that someone else’s belief? Can we use y instead of x?
  • Are we really powerless or are we afraid to face how powerful we are? Are we afraid to change the way things are because it shifts us into the unknown?

We’re the ones creating reality

Quantum physics states “like energy attracts like energy”. Things exist through their relationships. That’s been proven scientifically.

“Quantum mechanics inspires us to speculate that interactions between entities, not entities in themselves, are fundamental to reality” John Horgan, Scientific American

If I’m able to understand this on a personal level and use it to change my reality, maybe we can do it together.

If enough of us do it, maybe, just maybe we could create on a global level.

Together we could create a different reality.
