Water lily, no longer will you grieve buried beneath your waxy leaves Unfold before my eyes To the sunshine — you can cleave

Spring sent you an invitation You’ve accepted with such grace I’m so delighted you’ve arrived to beautify this sweet space

Thank you for reading. This is my first attempt at a Twittle. I’m not sure if I’ve written them properly, but I think the forms are correct. This was a good way to celebrate my first water lily bloom of Spring!

Thank you Patrick M. Ohana, for prompting me to write a Twittle. This was a challenge and so much fun to write!

Thank you Carolyn Hastings, for this creative poetic form!

Thank you to the editors of ILLUMINATION, for giving this Twittle a home.
