Water Laps
A tricube poem

water laps against rocks leisurely
breeze kisses water’s waves so gently
birch shivers leaves trembling nature’s dance
Have you ever heard of a tricube poem? Or written one? It’s maths and poetry in one!
A tricube takes the mathematical term of ‘tri’ — three. Three stanzas, three lines each, three syllables each line.
As usual, nature is my inspiration for this clever form of poetry. Give it a try for the USA’s National Poetry Month! Perhaps Arjan Tupan, Lisa Tomey, Priyanka Srivastava, Alan Asnen or James G Brennan might want to try it too? Tag me so I can clap ❤
