Water
A haiku

Calming mastery Luring with vibrant colors Surrounding waters
With our recent water scare in my hometown, my perspective, gratitude, and appreciation have changed drastically.
Do you have a favorite body of water near you? During this past summer, many states were fighting blazes and in severe drought.
There are still states dealing with fires and cleanup. Numerous land management specialists and volunteers have been working on the renewal process. Currently, some burned area emergency response teams are working in several states.
Fall can bring not only a change in our physical environment but also in our current mental state.
Have you felt like your life has been in a drought? My husband has been out of work for almost two years. I’m thankful to declare he is starting a new job next week. And just like the season’s change, so too is his career. He will be reinventing himself.
No matter how hard things get in your life, faith the size of a mustard seed is all it takes. My faith was shrinking, and now my belief is screaming with excitement and thankfulness.
Never give up your faith! What is your need? Leave a comment, and I’ll be sure to pray. My husband received his last unemployment check this previous Thursday as those resources ran dry.
To God, I give all the glory, through Jesus his one and only son, who leads me daily while providing our resources; I say, Thank you. -Amen
I also want to thank Trista Signe Ainsworth for her weekly theme and her timing about water. I wrote this the morning before she announced the theme. I’m glad to call Thank You Notes publication home for this haiku with a short story.
