Watching You: A Letter

I start and then move on to watching yet another film that reminds me of the time when I was distanced from you and when the reminders only added pain as I tried to push forward and forget. As we all change, so have you and I have found perfection in who you have become today. Your unwavering talent intimidates my already fragile idea of what I believe I deserve. Your huge heart has finally let me in after being consumed by temptation, as was I when we first met, fifteen years ago.

I admire the way you love and know I will spend my life by your side, growing with you and with continued admiration for all that you are. My eyes go between my computer screen and television only to settle upwards, where I find your face. I think of your life during the times of filming and wonder how I could not have been a part of your experience during those times.

Even though I’ve lost time with you, there has been no better moment than now to find each other once again. Tonight, I did not want to write. I feel as if I am rambling in a journal. A journal that you may read and I want so badly for you to know my truth. I love you completely for who you are and for how you treat me. You are beautiful, both inside and out and I feel blessed to have your love. I will be honest with you, and I will be real. You will be on the pedestal of my soul and nothing more. I love you.
