Watching Sunsets
A Poem about pausing, hoping, healing, and faith.

“Sunsets are proof that endings can often be beautiful too.” Buddha
My latest added daily ritual: Watching Sunsets.
No matter where I am, or what I’m doing, I try to stop intentionally, PAUSE, and go where I need to be to walk barefoot among the earth and witness the sun sink to sleep.
Yes, the sunset reminds me, among other things, that a new day is about to come, therefore, there is ALWAYS redemption.
Sometimes, I’ll view this exodus from the luxury of my hammock, awestruck by the majestic flow of blazing clouds merging as one, in the fading day’s sky.
Usually, during this time, various birds reassure me all is well;
a combination of Radiant Vs, Pairs of twos, Solo fliers.
Their timing– always impeccable.
This scene — light years ahead of where I used to be — when shards of star glass shattered TO the universe’s floor.
Since then, I have rebuilt essential pieces and fearlessly added more — forever mending my ball of glass to a better, more peaceful way.
So, whenever I watch the sunset, it whispers to my heart and gently reminds me, “No one can take that away from you.”
Then adds, as it adds to anyone who listens: “You are so loved. You are more than enough. You are the miracle. Remember that no one, my dear, will ever be worth more than you.”
