Watching Golf on TV was a Horrific Bore Until Jason Day Took a Swing and I Caught a Glimpse of His Money Maker
Can we get a golf clap for the pooper?

When I met my husband, I knew he was a golf lover. This was usually a deal-breaker for me because I viewed golf as the most boring sport on the planet, but I was willing to overlook it because he was a 10 otherwise.
I spent years taking naps or reading books on the couch while he watched golf, completely full of disdain for these wasted days.
One gloomy afternoon, I positioned myself in my favorite corner of the couch and glared at my husband while he turned on the golf channel. He ignored my glare, so I began to read and soon felt sleepy.
I snuggled deeper and reached for a blanket when by accident my eyes fell upon the screen, and two of the most glorious round butt cheeks appeared before my eyes.
I sat up straighter and asked:
WHO is that?
Hubby, none the wiser, nonchalantly replied that it was Jason Day. I responded:
I think I might watch golf with you after all.
That’s when he got a tad suspicious and hit me with the side-eye-I-know-you’re-up-to-something glance. I did watch it though, and I watched it many times after. I began to develop a respect for the accuracy needed, and the insane distance those balls have to travel to make it into that tiny hole. Most of all, I began to appreciate the mental toughness and concentration these guys display. I can’t imagine trying to hit a ball down a fairway lined with people 4 deep. Anyway, these guys are truly amazing athletes.
I also remember in 2015 at the US Open when Day was experiencing vertigo from an inner ear infection. With every swing, it looked like he was about to fall over. Eventually, he did collapse at the ninth hole. He kept going and was tied for 4th at one point, and ended up finishing 9th. I’ve struggled with Vertigo before and it is no joke. I have no idea how he pulled that off.
I can’t say I’m in love with the sport, but I certainly have an appreciation.
My youngest son loves golf now, thanks to my husband, and he’s pretty good at it. It’s something they love to do together, and I have hopes that he’ll join the team when he’s in high school.
More proof that my husband is the coolest, he attended the 2016 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick and took a moment to send me a close-up photo of Day’s scrumptious Tuckus. I have searched everywhere for that photo to share it and unfortunately, I can’t find it.
Besides the fact that Jason Day has a ridiculous badonkadonk, there are some really interesting things to know about him.
He lost both parents to cancer, and sadly his mom passed away after a 5 year battle with lung cancer in early March of 2022. He recently launched a video series for lung cancer awareness called Getting Out Of The Rough.
He founded the Brighter Days Foundation, partnering with nonprofit organizations in Ohio. The foundation provides funding and resources to places such as Habitat for Humanity and The Ohio State Cancer Center.
His professional career as a golfer began in 2006. He was only 19.
In May 2010, he became the youngest Australian to win a PGA Tour event, and he is a 12-time PGA Tour winner.
