Watch Fireworks Displays From Around The World
Some incredible spectacles!
Disclaimer: I will admit that I don’t think that fireworks are the best things to spend money on, and it’s obvious that their impact on the environment is not great. They disrupt animals and likely cause all sorts of distress to the natural world, but one simply cannot deny that they are a beautiful spectacle to behold.
Happy New Year! 2023 has officially arrived!
I feel like there is a collective sighhhhhh apparent as we put 2022 to rest. I have heard from a few fellow writers that they have no remorse for last year coming to an end. It seems as though it has been a tough one for many.
Chris and I celebrated in Antalya, Turkey this year. We found ourselves in the old part of town, high on a clifftop overlooking the harbor and marina below.
We had chosen the spot because we figured that we would surely see some good fireworks displays from up there. And while we did see some in the distance, and a few closer to us, none went on for a very long period of time. I will certainly not remember our Antalya New Year because of the fireworks, that is for sure!
I realized that it has been quite some time since I was present at a really good fireworks show.
As I got on YouTube tonight, I couldn’t help but see videos of fireworks displays from around the world in my feed. Since I didn’t get to see much here, I decided to see what other parts of the world got to witness.
To put it simply, I was amazed at what I saw.
We have been pretty out of the loop these past few years and I don’t know if fireworks have advanced in their technology, or if people are just getting more and more creative at displaying them, but these shows are super impressive.
Because I was so impressed, I thought that some of my readers would be as well, and have decided to compile a few into this article. I hope you take some time to watch some of these incredible displays!
The first that caught my eye was the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. They did an incredible job of incorporating the building into the show by making it its own video screen.
The fountains below the building were also choreographed with it all.
According to this article, this was a record-setting display!
As reported before the show there were 828m of fireworks, 2,500 firing directions, 287 firing positions and 4,000 watts of lasers in the Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve firework display.
