Was She a Life or Death?
A Poem
In the depths of my mind, I search for her eyes. They slip through my grasp, Elusive, like butterflies.
Perhaps they were never there, Just a figment of my imagination. Or maybe I choose not to see, To avoid the pain of separation.
I don’t remember who was she, But her beauty was an ocean, Vast and deep, a mystery, A memory that won’t lessen.
And her body, oh, her body, The pleasure it brought me, The sounds of her sighs, Echo still, hauntingly.
For a brief moment in time, Her love was mine, A fleeting spark in the night, A flame that burned bright.
I held her close, I felt her warmth, But just as quickly as it came, Her love disappeared like a ghost, Leaving me alone with the pain.
She was a mystery, a puzzle unsolved, A force to be reckoned with, yet gentle and evolved. Was she a life or death, I cannot truly say, But the memory of her, is forever here to stay.
