Want To Read A Great Book?
A Recommendation of Book Of Poetry

I wish I could be one of these people that recommended numerous books at a time but unfortunately, I read as quickly as a snail does and I cannot churn out that many recommendations!
However, I really wanted to recommend this poetry book about Egypt very aptly called “Ancient Egypt In Poetry”.
The poems are written by a number of different writers and are categorised by whatever aspect of ancient Egypt they are writing about. So, for example, there is a section on The Nile and another one on the Pyramid.
The reason I love this book is the visual description of the poems. They are so beautifully written; it make you feel like you are there. They paint such a wonderful image of the majesties of Egypt it is hard to feel like you have not seen them first-hand.
My favourite poem is A Dream of Ancient Egypt by Evelyn Douglas. Any poem which starts with the phrase ‘Long lit lakes that ripple like green flame blown in ridges’ is always going to be a collection of words which can whisk you away on a beautiful journey.
Definitely recommend!
