Want To Be A Hero? Tell The Truth.

Save us all from an unending, technologically-driven totalitarian hell

Most people do what feels good. They choose beliefs that make themselves feel good. They believe the happy stories and filter out the bad.

They spend their life pursuing comfort and happiness. They follow the narrative put fourth to them by the culture and the media inside their countries. After all, that’s the most comfortable and happy path.

For most, their lives are shaped around the thoughts and opinions of others. They seek status and prestige in the eyes of the crowd. They want to climb the hierarchy of social status and they’ll adopt whatever beliefs are popular at at any given moment to get there.

They’re like a leaf in the wind, letting the winds of the culture choose their beliefs for them.

Yet a special few, and maybe I’m talking to you right now, are obsessed with seeking the truth.

Instead of prioritising your own happiness, you prioritise the truth.

Those who tell the truth exactly as it is without bending their speech towards social approval are true heroes.

Perhaps it takes a hint of autism. Perhaps it takes a hint of madness. But 1% of those reading right now are one of the rare few who’re actually interested in pursuing the truth above all else.

They disregard the game of social status seeking and simply tell the truth exactly as they feel it is, no matter what the group may think of them.

To a real truth-teller, the social hierarchy of prestige and status is a meaningless, stupid game for the unthinking.

Telling the truth is a heroic act.

You know when somebody is telling the truth because you can feel God ring powerfully through their voice (whatever “God” might mean for you).

Their voice booms with a certainty and conviction that simply isn’t felt when somebody is speaking with the aim to seek the social approval of others.

And these rare truth-tellers are the only obstacle that stands between us and an authoritarian, totalitarian hell; and we have the technology available to us now capable of creating such an unbreakable form of hell on earth that it will last for all eternity.

George Orwell once wrote something that terrifies me right to my core every time I think about it. Why does it terrify me? Because I think it might actually be true.

He said: “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face — forever.”

If enough people lie for personal gain, for social approval or out of fear, the future Orwell predicted will come about.

Lies lead us closer to hell. The truth leads us closer to heaven.

When I see others lie in order to gain social approval, I’ll be honest, it disgusts me.

When people say things they don’t really believe because they’re scared of the social consequences, I see them as pathetic cowards.

The truth-tellers, who carefully examine their own biases, and then speak exactly what they feel is true with no social filter whatsoever are the guardian angels that protect us all from an unending totalitarian hell filled with AI facial recognition, CCTV cameras and government-controlled, super- powerful microphones listening to us through the walls of our house at any time they please.

While in the past authoritarian regimes eventually collapsed, technology now exists to such an extent that it would make escaping from such a regime impossible.

Are you the 1% who will read this and understand what I’m saying here?

We need you to speak your truth. We need you to disregard the need to elevate your social status by saying things you think will make people like you, and instead say exactly what’s inside your heart.

And in doing so, truth-teller, you save the world.
