PHOTO-A-DAY CHALLENGE
Walking, Talking, and Taking in the Wonderful World
Third Week of October
Day 1
I returned to my favorite beach town for a walk. This time I did some walking on the beach and on the boardwalk, but I also ventured around the neighborhoods and the little lakes. The cover photo and the two pictures below are a few of my favorites.
I love the feeling I got from watching the toy sailboat glide whimsically around the lake without a care in the world. That is how I feel when I explore this town.
It was also nice to catch up with one of my friends for the first time since pre-pandemic times. We walked six miles. I guess we had a lot of catching up to do.

Day 2
I still had the beautiful homes in my mind from the beach town walk. Then, I realized why they seemed extra magnificent to me. I looked at the front of my home with an even more critical eye. I like to travel so I don’t want a big home to take care of, even if I could afford one of those beauties, but wait until you see what has happened in front of my home this year. Soon, we might not be able to even see it.
I have always been against my husband’s idea of planting any food in front of the house. He took over tending our “flower garden” this year and he snuck in some Jamaican gungo pea seeds. Those pea plants look like they are going to take over our house.

Day 3
I have continued my eye spy game of looking for things planted. I feel thankful for the hands that planted and care for this cheery display.

Day 4
I took a new route home from work, just one street over from my usual. This pharmacy, painted with medicinal herbs and flowers, is so pretty and fanciful. I hope others that pass by take a moment to enjoy the medicinal vibrancy.

Day 5
I have found myself reverting to some of my work-from-home habits even while I am back at work. When I take calls, I sometimes go outside and walk around. Today, I found myself in the parking lot talking and walking and also picking up interesting finds like a little acorn and this transitioning leaf. I even snapped a photo of this one without even thinking about it.
They can make me come back to work, but they can’t make me sit down!

I am ending at 5 days this week to get back on track with my weekly submissions. I slowly started submitting a day later and later until I lost half of a week. Back to a full 7 days next week!
Thanks for reading! I hope everyone finds time for friends and to enjoy the wonderful world!
