Summary

The author, Justiss Goode, anticipates a global revolutionary change as a response to widespread social injustices, including threats to women's reproductive rights, systemic racism, and economic disparities.

Abstract

The article titled "WAKE UP: Smell the Coffee and Get Ready for a Revolutionary Change in this World!" expresses deep concern about the current state of societal issues, such as the potential overturn of Roe vs. Wade, systemic oppression, and the increasing disparity between the privileged and the marginalized. The author highlights a growing discontent among the disenfranchised, suggesting that the world is on the brink of a significant shift driven by the collective awakening to these injustices. Justiss Goode emphasizes the role of the internet in amplifying awareness and the potential for a united front of marginalized communities to rise against the status quo. The piece serves as a call to action, urging readers to become aware, prepared, and engaged in the face of impending societal transformations.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the overturning of Roe vs. Wade is indicative of broader rights being stripped away, not limited to reproductive rights but including various personal freedoms.
  • There is a palpable sense of frustration and dissatisfaction with the current political climate, where corrupt and self-serving politicians are seen as undoing progressive changes.
  • The article suggests that the world's problems are more visible than ever due to the internet, and this visibility is catalyzing a global call for change.
  • Justiss Goode argues that the disenfranchised, including people of color, women, the LGBT community, the poor, and the homeless, are reaching a tipping point where inaction is no longer an option.
  • The author reflects on personal experiences, including witnessing past civil unrest, to underscore the potential for widespread rebellion if significant improvements in societal justice are not made.
  • While not advocating for violence, the author predicts that a series of global uprisings may occur as a response to systemic injustices, indicating that society is nearing a point of no return.

WAKE UP: Smell the Coffee and Get Ready for a Revolutionary Change in this World!

Will disenfranchised people on this earth allow society to keep mistreating them?

There’s something definitely on the horizon for this world, and I swear, I can literally feel it coming. It’s like a “hair on the back of my neck” feeling; where you can sense something about to happen, and typically, it’s not good.

That’s how I’ve been gradually feeling, when it comes to the state of the world, and all the atrocities that are going on, and have been going on for years.

Besides the war in Ukraine, the most recent event to create a knot in the pit of my stomach, is the situation that’s going on in the American court system, concerning abortion laws.

It seems that there is a possibility that the Supreme Court may overturn the well-known Roe Vs. Wade decision, a1973 ruling that legalised abortion nationwide.

According to an NPR report, Politico acquired a document leaking this information, which was later confirmed to be an official court document.

Based on common sense, and also laid out in what President Biden had to say, this issue is about a whole lot more than a female’s right to terminate a pregnancy.

All kinds of rights are continuing to be stripped away in this country and in this world.

Rights to contraceptives, rights whether or not to conceive, rights whether to terminate pregnancies, rights on who to be, who not to be with, etc…

So the question becomes: At this rate, where will it end?

Problems of the world are under a microscope

As any thinking person can see, pretty soon, things are about to get really hairy. NO ONE wants the federal government, some other government agency, or anyone else, for that matter — telling them what they can and can not do inside the privacy of their bedroom.

I believe this is just one of the many major issues that will ultimately impact and result in the “revolutionary change” that I mentioned in the title of this story.

Thanks to the internet, the problems of the world can now be seen by simply sitting in your cozy little home and viewing your computer monitor.

As a result, the problems of the world are being viewed under a microscope. But is it enough to just see and recognize these things actually exist?

What happens, now that the rest of the world knows all about the injustices that some people confront each and every day?

I sense a major change, or shift in the way a lot of societal issues have been handled in the past.

There are a multitude of injustices happening in this world, and the pressure is mounting. The people most adversely affected by these issues are seriously getting fed up!

Those issues include but are not limited to the following:

  • Black men and women are being shot down in the streets, in their homes, and even in their beds, on a daily basis.
  • Bully nations are using their might and aggression all over the world, to attack and launch wars on smaller ones and those who don ‘t share their views, while innocent people are getting caught up in the mix and dying.
  • The young and helpless, the elderly, and the disabled have all become central figures in targets of abuse, and many of them have even joined the growing numbers of transients and homeless people of the world.

All these things and more continue to exist and grow worse, while the status quo powers that be — whoever and wherever they are — continue holding the reigns and making major decisions about what’s good for such people.

This world is full of disenfranchised people who are tired of being mistreated and constantly told precisely how to live, where to life, and even IF they can live or not.

Change not only NEEDS to come, but it’s inevitable. In all the years that society has toyed at the idea of wanting to improve conditions for people everywhere, not enough significant changes have been made; not with respect to human dignity.

In America, we seem to make a bit of progress every decade or so, but what good does it do, if you have corrupt and self-serving politicians who just come in and try to roll things back and undo that progress?

These exclusive and non-inclusive clubs are dominated by a bunch of good ‘ole boys, all clamoring for what they perceive as the good ‘ole days (if you get my drift).

Well I got news for you fellas. It’s not gonna fly this time. Too many people are waking up to what’s really going on in this world, and they’re not pleased at what they’re finally seeing and realizing.

Sorry boys. With this latest awakening, you can believe one thing for sure. Blacks won’t go back. Women won’t go back. Things won’t remain the same forever.

Change is gonna come and it may be a lot sooner than you think.

How you see the world and how the world really is

My birthday just passed on May 1st. After living 64 years on this earth and having to deal with some really tough sh*t in my life, perhaps I’m seeing things through a jaded lens when I sound my alarm.

→ What on earth am I talking about when I say a “revolutionary change” is on the horizon for the entire world?

→ Who the hell is Justiss Goode, to suggest that we all need to “wake up and smell the coffee”, as if I’m so woke and enlightened to things in the world?

→ If I admitted to having a slightly jaded view of the world because of my own past, why would anyone consider my thoughts about the coming future?

The fact of the matter is, regardless of what type of lens you, me, or anyone happens to be looking through, it doesn’t change the reality of what’s happening around us.

As you read this story, I sincerely hope you read it with eyes fully open, and that you are working on becoming one of the WOKE individuals in society.

Final Thoughts

With so much unrest currently brewing in the world, no one can afford to be asleep to the things that are happening around them.

People are tired. Many are hurt and abused, and mistreated in a number of ways.

Some are hungry and without hope, and worse than that (if anything is worse than being without hope), some are desperate.

All of this is a recipe for pending disaster, that’s why:

  • You need to be alert to what decisions politicians are making everyday, and the actions they’re taking, that ultimately affect you and your love ones.
  • You need to be prepared mentally, and possibly even from a more practical standpoint, as in emergency preparedness.
  • Never underestimate how quick, heated, and destructive that civil unrest can become, especially when you don’t see it coming.

I lived in Los Angeles in 1992, during the L.A. “Unrest”, and believe me, I did not see it coming. The Thursday night that the riot broke out, on April 29th, I had plans to go out for an early celebration of my birthday.

When all hell broke out, I was taken completely by surprise!

The smoke-filled skies and burning buildings became imprinted on my brain for years to come. The cops, the rioters, the military troops, not to mention the broken glass and destruction everywhere… It felt like a war zone!

Years earlier, as a child, I had already lived through the L.A. riots of the 60’s. That was another time when I saw my city turned into a war-like zone, with soldiers stationed on the rooftops of various schools during the day, and jeeps driving down the street, with soldiers enforcing the curfew before dark.

So yes — I fear for what’s on the horizon, if things continue the way they’re going. With more of the same unrest and desperation in people’s lives, I see more of the same (or worse) behavior on the horizon.

But this time, it won’t just be in black communities.

For instance:

What if all the discriminated against people of color everywhere rose up…?

What if all the women tired of being treated “less than” rose up…?

What if the entire LGBT community (those “in” and “out”) rose up…?

What if the poor and homeless population rose up…?

What if all of the above got together and rose up???

I see people rising up everywhere, all over the globe, in some type of worldwide rebellion against all the bullshit that never ceases to end.

I’m not saying I condone violence. I’m not saying there are no politicians who really want to make significant changes for the better. I’m certainly not saying that I have the answers or solutions to creating a world that is just for all.

All I’m saying is that something is about to go down, and we all better wake up and get ready for whatever it is!
