Voting Out Loud

My own private story.

Kamala Harris says, “History is a relay race …. generations before us carried the baton. And now, they have passed it to us.”

I am with VP Harris and Dr. Heather Cox Richardson. We may be there again — carrying the Baton for Freedom, articulated well in the Declaration of Independence, the 19th Amendment, and Martin Luther King, Jr., however we have always carried this Baton in these United States.

What is that Baton: We have to make a choice between The Needs of the People, and the Needs of the Few: two different groups in our US population. My side is the Demo side. Why? The imperfect Demo side is working for all People in the USA — sometimes they hit the People’s Needs on the head, sometimes they have to work at it. They will accept criticism. They move out of the past into the future at all times.

The old GOP has become MAGA. MAGA is working for the Few people. The rest of the ‘other side’ who agree with MAGA are working with them and believe the Few are all who matter and they can follow them confidently. Top of the list: Mr. Trump. He is always right. MAGA controls the US House of Representatives. MAGA blocks all bills they don’t like even after extensive discussions with the other arms of the government. No, they don’t negotiate.

What bills do MAGA not like? Well, any immigration bill whether MAGA are for or against it, any law that goes against MAGA’s list of demands which includes lower taxes for the well-off, but higher taxes for the poor and middle class, any abortion bill, any protection for women bill, any gun bill, and any voting bill. MAGA will barely pass any government funding bill. MAGA can’t come up with a nationwide healthcare bill. They want to get rid of all food, retirement, and healthcare bills.

MAGA wants to impose their Conservative Evangelical and Catholic religion on everyone in this country by law, starting with their handpicked SCOTUS members, their US House, and the trifecta they plan to win in November 2024: The US Executive Branch, Senate, and House.

MAGA wants to impose their interpretation of what it is to be human in terms of definitions, laws, and social behaviors on all humans extant in the USA once they have achieved this power, this trifecta. Their leader plans to be a dictator from day one. He has total immunity from the Law. That includes all states who oppose him (by SCOTUS declaration). They say they are right about anything they wish including that those who voted in 2020 had falsified ballots if their vote defeated Mr. Trump. How many different ways were there to falsify a ballot and who was responsible? Nothing can be proved for MAGA in court, yet the ‘other side’, the ‘winning side’ did it. That would be any of us who don’t agree with MAGA. So, we — the ‘other side’ stole the 2020 election by some means, because it was absolutely stolen. Did you know that? Trump and his MAGA crew should have been leading us.

Helpfully, everyone who disagrees with MAGA is wrong and can be punished to the extent of MAGA laws which are changing state by state to be community-punitive, including voting. The bottom line is that everyone who disagrees with MAGA is wrong and can be stopped and punished. These laws predict that personal money and time done will be involved. These outcomes will mark folks for life, effectively obstructing their further movement in society. MAGA says they are ‘right’ to do all of the above — those they oppose deserve it all.

Am I wrong about this? Of course, I am. I have accepted that the ‘MAGA side’ is bound and determined to say whatever they say is so, and to stay that way. They have grouped up nicely. We can see this in many different types of reports by the media and on social media if you select the correct ‘side’ or just want to see various differing reports for the activities of humans in US society at this time.

That is where we are now and we need to accept this sideism at this time.

I say, I am a voter who doesn’t agree with MAGA positions. I will vote and consume otherwise than MAGA. MAGA folks say the opposite. Okay.
