Our vision of humble and empathetic healthcare can only be realized when we share our stories and listen with open hearts and minds to learn from them. Many patients and healthcare professionals want to be heard and we believe in the power to change healthcare with your stories. We believe any one of us can be an extra slice of cheese to prevent harm for a patient whether it will be for self or for others.
We welcome any healthcare stories in any language. That’s right. Language should not be a barrier to get adequate healthcare and so it shouldn’t be a barrier to share your stories with the world.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you are submitting your stories:
- We prefer original stories and will consider stories published elsewhere if permitted to republish in our publication. Once submitted, it becomes public writing, so please be aware of health information privacy and check with your workplace policy on social media sharing before submission.
- The content should have a clear message of why you want to share your story and what lessons and actions readers can take from your writing.
- If your writing is submitted in a foreign language, it will be translated into English. It may take longer to publish because of the translation process.
- Please be mindful of grammar and punctuation.
- Once submitted, your writing can be shared via social media and other means.
