Visceral
Visceral.
A feeling I think of as more distinct and powerful than most others. I think of it as the feeling’s feeling. The sensation all sensations aspire to. The phenomenon that happens long long before conscious thought. The kind that provokes it. The one that affects all three levels of the triune mind :
1. Instinct, your body reacts, acting in perfect symphony with feeling
2. Feeling, your mind sings with an emotion so true it is surely one you must have been born with or born to feel.
3. Thought, every thought is born to serve this sensation. Every thought is a vehicle on the River Visceral.
Your stomach turning inside out the first time you cracked a rotten egg.
Visceral.
The titanic weight of your body when you have no one to turn to.
Visceral.
Your body singing when the right person touches you.
Visceral.
This is the feeling that reminds me I am meant to feel. I am a feeling being. Feeling is being. When I am not feeling I am not full. The depth of the human experience is in feeling.
