Are You A Victim of Free Mentality?
I fought with and avoided many people because of their mindset. I was battling and evading their perspective of life. I couldn’t separate them from their thinking. We both lose something in the process.

And she said, “Different aspects of our mindset need work. Such aspects can include habits and skillsets and the behaviors we practice on autopilot as a result of unproductive and limiting core beliefs.”
I believe our thinking can be a friend or a foe.
Friends heal, help, build, motivate, encourage, etc., adding something positive and influential to our lives. We get good things from friends. Friendship is a generous gift that lasts a lifetime for some of us.
Enemies share the opposite.
I have witnessed how the thinking or mindset of many people I know, love, and associate with are their enemies. Some people aren’t aware of it. Their actions, choices, and decisions return to them despite the agony, disaster, and suffering.
As a deep thinker, I study my life, actions, choices, and decisions, checking and double-checking the results. Sometimes they are rewards. Other times, they are painful lessons.
While raising children, one of my daughters and I couldn’t get along. We fought often. Then I realized that I wasn’t fighting with her.
I was fighting with her thinking.
Her attitude was a weapon. It was creating conflicts in my home and life. From a distance, we got along better because her logic couldn’t harm me.
I study the people in my life. Being different makes many of us more interested, which is often good. But when our differences become a weapon because of our mindset, pain and death will be the results.
Our mindset can be a tool or a weapon. It can heal, improve, and uplift as a tool. It just makes things better.
As a weapon, it worsens our lives.
I fought with and avoided many people because of how they think. I was really battling and evading their mindset. I couldn’t separate them from their thinking. We both lose something in the process.
I have witnessed firsthand how the mindset of many people disables them.
There are areas where no one pays rent, water, or light bills in my country. The owners of these houses have abandoned them because of the violence. Many people enjoy that.
We call it ‘Free Mentality.’
According to: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/283145878_Customer_Willingness_to_pay_for_online_music_The_role_of_free_mentality
Free Mentality, a strong belief that everything online should be free, has been ironed into people’s minds. This concept also significantly affects the development of e-commerce.
This refers only to music. Imagine when this method is applied to human lives and living.
They went on to say, “However, despite the importance of this “free mentality” concept, a lack of systematic investigations inhibits our understanding of this issue.”
You, too, might not be able to perceive this unless you have lived among and with it. Also is aware of it and the damage it caused.
Don’t feel bad. Google has no idea either.
These people believe they must live and pay for nothing. But end up paying with their lives and their children’s. The violence rate is so extreme they eat death for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rape and robbery are desserts. Teenage pregnancy is so regular. If you are over twenty and childless, you are shunned and ridiculed. Fatherless children are in every yard. The murder rate for males increases every day as mothers lose their sons. Children lose their fathers, and someone loses a brother, nephew, grandson, or uncle.
Black men are becoming an endangered species in my country.

These are side dishes that everyone in these areas samples. No one escapes. The areas are overpopulated, and fear thrives in every heart, mind, soul, and eye. Grief and pain come in with the wind. The sea is a few feet away. It’s a tropical island, so a cool breeze is always welcome. And it visits several times per day, and night too. The funeral parlors and law firms are a stone’s throw away. They don’t have to compete for business. Both are handed to them often on a silver platter. In these areas, almost everyone thinks alike.
Our Government had to insert soldiers into their community for 24 hours to stop adults from killing each other. Because of how they think, they are at war with themselves. In other areas, because of violence, no mail carrier is available. The Jamaica Public Service and the National Water Commission hire armed guards to escort them to read their meters in specific communities.
Few people who owned their homes before the area got violent don’t mind paying their bills. Good people live in many of these areas. I refuse to expose my children to that amount of pain and violence to save money.
In other communities where people must pay bills, the violence is afraid to visit. Most Jamaicans know the consequences of ‘Free Mentality’ and work hard to change their children’s mindsets. I hammered into my children’s brain, “you want the best; earn it. It doesn’t come free.”
Nothing in life is free. I might get it free, but someone else pays for it.
Because of Politricks, this cycle of Free Mentality is allowed for more than fifty years as these areas are politically divided and funded.
There is no end in sight because poverty holds the exit key, and many have become victims of their mindset, passing it on to their children and the future generation. Believe it or not, our actions and how we live our lives are tied to our mindset.
Free Mentality is a weapon that has ruined many lives. Some people escape the violence but are pulled back in because paying bills and rent is against their laws. Paying with their lives because of how they think seems normal for them.
With the pain of death, come cannot see how their thinking or mindset is the weapon that is ruining their lives.
Can you see how your actions, choices, and decisions influence your life?
