Very Short Stories
My attempt for this challenge
Nikolaos Skordilis has crafted one more fun challenge! Following the prompts in his original post, I embarked on a journey to write some very short stories. One is a poem though but it still counts, right?
RN Manchester also took on the challenge and created really great poems! Go check them out!
Here are my 50-word poem & story:
Suspension is the highway to creation Tight ropes, a sore body With a mind so foggy Pain that craves the sweet release Of the Master’s touch underneath the sheets Bruises and sweat as a badge of honor Emerging from the depths calmer A primal release as the ropes now loosen (50 words)
“How often can I see you?”, he asked impatiently. “Just call me anytime”, she replied, trying to hide a grin. “Really?”, he said enthusiastically. She looked away and lit a cigarette. “Of course not, don’t be stupid”. He sulked and looked at the floor. She enjoyed tormenting him that way. (50 words)
Four 10-word stories:
- Getting away was never an option, but neither was surviving.
- The candle’s flame flickered as the Demon touched the practitioner.
- The waves wash repeatedly over them. Their cries forever silenced.
- What is the purpose of the mystery map? Who cares!
I definitely recommend that you give this fun challenge a chance!
