Valentine’s Day: Love and Celebrate Every Day

Love today, and love every day

I’ve never really been a huge Valentine’s Day fan. When we love someone, be it our friends or a significant other, we should be loving fiercely every day, not just on the day society has decided is a celebration of love.

Although it’s getting better, commercial Valentine’s Day has traditionally made single people feel excluded, leading to all sorts of unnecessary sadness and loneliness. I’m grateful to have had the most amazing friends turn up for me on Valentine’s Day, ensuring I felt tremendous love despite being single.

With that said, I’m going to allow myself to be swept up in the love hype this year and celebrate my significant other today.

To my Valentine,

You are the most magical person I’ve ever met. There are so many reasons why I fall in love with you every single day.

You make me feel safe being just the way I am and that’s not something I take for granted. Being able to feel myself and be loved just for that is so wonderful.

You’ve given me so much confidence in myself; your support is something that drives me to be a better me and to follow my heart every day.

Thank you for loving me so authentically and for allowing me to feel such intense love, unconditionally.

I am excited about everything we have already shared and I am so looking forward to all the experiences we have ahead to enjoy together. I know we may face challenges along the journey, but I truly believe that together we can overcome them while we continue to grow side by side.

What brings me the most joy is that today we love each other as deeply as any other day of the year, and that’s magic.

Never forget that I love you today and every day.
