Vacation Plans
I hope you can go!

I’ve been planning a trip to a warm, sandy island not so spiky and sharp as the place where we live
Where the rain is gentle and the sunshine mild and everyone’s thankful for what nature gives
Where the pace is slower so nobody’s late there’s no worrying chaos just our comfortable mess
Where every person can have their own type you can be what you are nothing more or less
I long to lounge in the light after wintering this cruel world filled with barbs and traps suffering and sadness
Where people are mean and the weather is nasty and evil intent often hides behind kindness
Let’s go to a place where there are no landmines no ticking time bombs or dangerous topics
Where fear and loathing lie back and be quiet to rest and relax in those peaceful tropics
Where cool waters wash the sand from our toes the tears from our eyes and the hate from our souls
Where brothers and sisters speak truth to each other to make sense of their lives as they grow old
I’ve been planning this trip and I hope you can go to this other world where life’s not so tough
Where being yourself doesn’t set you apart and just striving to be good will be quite good enough
