The article discusses the failure of law enforcement during the Uvalde school shooting and its implications for American society and governance.
Abstract
The Uvalde tragedy, where 376 armed officers failed to act for 77 minutes as a gunman killed 19 children and two teachers, is a stark indicator of systemic issues within American law enforcement and political leadership. The article, written by Kimberlee Jakobe, emphasizes the need for anger and action rather than sadness, highlighting the personal story of Kimberly Garza, mother of victim Amerie Garza. It argues that the incident is symptomatic of broader political failures, where elected officials prioritize corporate interests, particularly those of the gun industry and the NRA, over the lives of citizens. The author calls for accountability, particularly targeting the Republican National Convention and specific politicians, and urges readers to not be distracted by media manipulation but to focus on holding leaders responsible for the senseless loss of life and the erosion of democracy.

Uvalde’s Police Failure is No Accident — It’s an Indicator of What’s Coming to Your Street

Canvapro by the author, Kimberlee Jakobe — Did you notice the message?
The utter and complete failure by the 376 armed and trained officers in Uvalde continues to unfold; our hearts break for the families. You shouldn’t be sad for these families — you should be angry for these families!
Sometimes, if we know someone personally, we tend to care a bit more about their story. That connection makes their story real to our over-stimulated, media-numbed brains.
Please allow me to introduce you to another Kimberly — Kimberly Garza is Amerie Garza’s mother. In the fourth-grade class of Amerie Garza, a gunman walked into a school armed with an assault rifle and killed 19 children and two teachers. Nearly 400 armed, “good guys” LEOs stood around doing nothing as 19 children, and two teachers were killed.

Below is a drawing of Amerie for her parents.
Anger motivates.
Be ANGRY enough to help stop this senseless death wave perpetuated by greed.
Uvalde IS NOT an isolated incident. It is an indicator of the conditions we will all live in if we continue to allow the loudest and most uneducated idiots in charge to ruin our DEMOCRACY INTENTIONALLY OUTLOUD.
We are burying our children because politicians think if they keep us confused, distracted, and fighting amongst ourselves— no one will notice it’s the politician’s and corporations’ fault. We’re allowing them to put a price on the heads of our loved ones for the power of the gun industry.
Politicians are the folks We The People pay to look out for our interests in the government. That is the definition of democracy.
Seventy percent of Americans think enacting new gun control laws should take precedence over protecting ownership rights, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll out Sunday.
Why it matters: The findings indicate widespread support for stricter gun control laws in the wake of mass shootings in Buffalo, New York, Uvalde, Texas, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. AXIOS
The politicians are voting for the interests of the corporate power behind the NRA and all the connective corporate interests tied to the gun industry — not the people who pay them.
The NRA pays politicians via lobbyists to promote the interest of the NRA — not the priorities of the people who they are paid and sworn to represent.
The Deliberate Distractions are sought by the Republican National Party to keep us divided and angry.
We cannot afford to be distracted any longer. The cost is too high. No child should have to die so that a politician becomes richer.

Focus on the Fix —
The crisis in America has nothing to do with gun ownership. I own a gun. This crisis is the bigger picture, the people we pay to govern us have gone off the chain and are full-tilt focused on money and power. Since Trump’s Reign, responsibility to the people has been replaced by blind greed.
The RNC has committed a dereliction of duty to the entire American population. Donald Trump, Mitch McConnel, Greg Abbott, Ron DeSantis, Margorie Taylor Greene, and Hershal Walker are useful idiots.
We deserve representatives to do the job we pay them to do.
Would you still expect to get paid FAT and bonuses if you didn’t do your job?
We must hold those who harm us intentionally accountable — the Republican National Convention. The RNC intentionally obliterates our communities, churches, and schools for monetary profit.
Let’s join together to stop the NRA, or we’ll join the ranks of parents who have lost their children so that politicians can become wealthier. Looking away, not making a choice, or ignoring this plea won’t stop the inevitable. We are the only solution.
The time to prevent the bullet holes in every child’s backpack is now! The days of sitting idly by are over.
Do not be distracted by the media. You’re smarter than they’re giving you credit!
